Solved Can't find network driver. HP Compaq dc7800p small form factor.

Good morning everyone!

I have a HP Compaq dc7800p Small Form Factor PC. It originally had Vista business on it, but--for obvious reasons--I am downgrading to XP Pro. This is was supposed to be a routine wipe and install, however, I must be mislead as to which drivers are required--specifically the network driver.

I have used the following HP site to obtain my network drivers.

HP Compaq dc7800 Small Form Factor PC >> Windows XP >> Driver Network

Knowing that obviously some wouldn't work, I did try all of them out of desperation. Am I searching in the wrong place for these drivers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most welcome .. There was so many Drivers on there . All to easy to choose the wrong one

Website guided choice of drivers not working.

*SOLVED* For some reason the network I was originally downloading these on was corrupting the file in some way. The file would work as if nothing was wrong with it, but the driver would not work. I downloaded the same drivers from a different computer/network and the appropriate drivers worked.

Hello everyone,

I have a HP Compaq dc7800p Small form factor PC. It originally had Vista Business on it that came pre-installed. I reformatted the PC and installed XP Pro on it. Currently the only driver that I could get to work was the network driver--and I received help with that from here.

I am currently trying to correct a handful of missing drivers found in device manager:

PCI Device
PCI Serial Port
PCI Simple Communicaions Conroller
Unknown Device
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

I have attempted to work from their site here, but it is obviously evading me abilities.

I am attempting to download it from a new location/network to see if there is a possibility that the files were corrupted in some way in the download; it has happened before with Dell drivers.

Hi there ... You need to Download the Chipset Driver .. Also the Intel Graphics Driver .. Plus you need the Intel Client Manager .. Install them from the Link below .. Then let me know what is missing
