I also have a VGN-T350P and got it eventually to work (driver to stick and no more BSOD). Here is the post.
Maybe this helps.

Thanks everybody. Finally, it works great.

this step helpedme toprevent blue screen and resolled my essue:

1) Follow Arathranar's (post 74) to disable the start up screen which forces a certain resolution and default graphics drivers ("running msconfig and checking Boot->OS boot information. Instead of the animation you now get text showing driver loads and the 0x7E STOP blue screen")

TheBigMonkey: What version of the driver did you use? I also use a Motion M1300, so it would work for me as well. Thanks!

The driver that I used was the Vista driver for the 82852/82855 that was updated on the Intel site in June. I believe that this is also the driver that is posted on this thread.

Good Luck!

Don't know if this will work for everyone but it has worked on my Motion M1300 tablet (Pentium M 1Ghz, 1 Gb RAM).

After trying many (if not all) of the suggested methods I installed the driver as "legacy hardware" in Safe Mode.

This can be done from the general menu in Device Manager < Action.

I have been through several boot cycles without a problem.

Hope this helps.

Just thought I would add that this worked for me also having tried the other methods. This is on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1300.

I couldn't test it until today but... there it goes! My M1300 screen is rotating again and the driver seems stable. No aero though, and 3 different lines appear in the device manager, one of them with a ! sign. Otherwise all perfect.

Thanks Ape!

Update on my M100

Just to be clear on my last post. I didn't expect the Toshiba Portege M100 FnF6 / F7 to work with such an old laptop, but with the 8255 drivers in and working the brightness is stuck on 50%. I've checked in a few places:-

Widows Mobility Centre: The brightness adjust is there, but when I adjust it it makes no difference.

Power Management: Again it's there OK, but adjustment doesn't make a difference to the brightness level.

If I go back to the default VGA driver, then I gett 100% brightness, and no controls avalable anywhere.

Neither solution is really suitable, so looks like I'll be going back to XP if there's nothing anyone can suggest.. Any ideas on what I could try next?

An update on a couple of things on my Portege M100 after a fair bit of use with Win7 Ultimate:
1) Noticed that sometimes afer the machine sleeps the screen doesn't come back on.
Solved that problem. When I have a external USB mouse connected it does this. Without the mouse it's fine. How wierd is that! .. Repeatable though... so there's the workaround if anyone else comes across this.

2) Screen brightness adjust:
Still not working when I adjust.. however if I adjust to the brightness I want and then reboot, then I get the level I need. Not ideal I know, but then I was quite surprised to get this far with such aged graphics.

That did it! Thank you Frustrated and Kensiko for the help. I will post the link to this page on another forum where people were talking about this.

PS. This was for my kid's "beater" machine which is a Compaq Presario 2223US, 1.6 Pent. M/1 GB ram/ 40G hdd. Its used mainly for watching their DVDs, surfing Transformers and Barbie website, and playing Rayman using dosbox.

I've been trying to get this working on my m1400 which uses this graphics controller. I couldn't find the driver you referenced that was updated in June. Could you detail where you got the driver or provide a link?

Anyone else have success with an m1400?

Thanks!

Thanks for all of the posts on this issue. I've tried all that are suggested and can't seem to get to a point where I can successfully use the Vista driver to get the wider screen res. I'm pretty knowledgable about pc's and am getting pretty frustrated. I've rebooted in safe mode and done both set commands for integrity checking, tried installing the driver in legacy mode via Dev. Mgr while in safe mode, did the scan for new hardware and nothing happens. I reboot and get BSOD, then restore back and start over again....... Any suggestions before I downgrade back to XP? Thanks!!
