Solved Windows 7 shutdown or restart take too long about almost 5 minutes

Right now the shutdown took about almost 5 minutes before turn off or restart mu desktop too. That's a little too long to wait.

Anyway what I have done with this last evening when uninstalling the program and I couldn't wait too long after hit the task manager. The task manager on the desktop screen become grey like faded and I couldn't wait for too respond. So I hit the main button of the computer to turn it off. I would say that I have done with this 10 times last evening. One of my family member told me that I SHOULD have wait till the task manager respond then hit the program to close not turn off the computer abruptly. Maybe that is why the computer take time to turn off with shutdown or restart?

Is there a way to fix to make shutdown or restart more quickly as possible.

When did this start? If it just started try and think what changed on your PC when you started to have the problem. If it has not been happening too long, try a System Restore to a date before your problem started. Go to this link to guide you through the process.

I did with System Restore but surprised to see that only one day before not something like one week or a month ago. It's not like Windows XP and am still learning with Windows 7 program. I am trying to think what caused this with the problem?

So you did a System Restore and it did not help. Is that correct?

The answer is simple, I had/have the same problem... I recently tried several things a long with avast speed up tool and that made it worse... I also cloned an ailing drive and replaced it with a new one, that didn't seem to help either... There was some issues with my usb 3.0 hubs and drivers, fixed that. Still when I tried to multi-task the computer would freeze, checked some of the services, etc. Now I'm too old for this and just want my stuff to work, I should have gotten over priced apple. But now I'm trying to use a SSD drive as my paging file since I noticed that windows turned my paging file to over 16 gig! whatever. I'll chalk it up to Microsoft updates that slow down Windows 7 since I refused to upgrade to 10 like I was tricked into on my laptop while reinstalling windows 7. I think the "UPDATES" MESS UP THE SYSTEM so that you HAVE TO either buy a newer system or upgrade to 10 either way its a win win since they don't support it anymore. :O/ Just my 2 cents.

Did your computer came with Win 7?
As you have 2 HDD and one SSD, you should install Win 7 and programs on the SSD and use one HDD for Data and the other one for Backup.
This is what you should do:
