Last week: "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 314.22 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." happened three times while gaming.

I really didn´t mind because i knew it occur sometimes but not normally that often,
also normally game would still work normally after that but this time it went unplayable so i had to reboot it. (Oh i forgot to tell the game, it was Borderlands 2)
It happened only once with Borderlands and two times when trying to stream FF XIV.

On a sidenote Rainmeter and DisplayFusion may be the possible harm causers. Because sometimes rainmeter gadgets would just randomly go black and recover fast with no reason.

This week: On Tuesday same thing happened twice in short timespan while playing FFXIV RR. The drivers crashed and fps went sticky. At this point i got pretty frustrated and reinstalled whole windows 7.
After i had installed all the drivers and updates i installed DisplayFusion and it suddenly started complaining something about emty dvd drive.(i was reinstalling Tera Eu from cd at this point and was about swap disks)

I decided to open my case and i noticed right away that one of the two pci-e power cables going to my gpu was kinda loose, so i pressed it back in.

After this i installed windows again and haven´t had any problems since, only one problem with Bastion while starting it.
(It crashed and complained something about Framework and Xna so i installed Xna framework or something like that and it worked like a charm.)

Note: I´m using two monitors. BenQ G2420HDB(Secondary) and Samsung S24B150(Main)

Here is my 3dmark11 scores:
P9039 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670(1x) and Intel Core i5-3570K Processor
Graphics Score 9740
Physics Score 7408
Combined Score 7474

I also ran Final fantasy XIV Realm reborn 2.0 Benchmark with high(Desktop) 1920*1080 settings.
I got 11k for a score and that´s Extremely high score.

The question is, how i can be sure my system is stable now? Is there any way to be sure?
I also checked voltage values in bios and everything seemed normal.

Oh and if someone who already knows me from before happens to read this, all my pc problems last spring got solved by a fresh Windows install. I just had some network problems so i wasn´t able to come back to report about it and over time when i got my network back i already had forgot whole thing. Sorry guys.

If you want to know if you r system is stable run prime95 Blend or run IBT Intel burn test these will give you an idea Hardware monitor for the voltage and temps or use Core temp all these can be found on www.majorgeeks.com

Honestly sounds like FF needs a update

You ran prime for a hour and those were the Temps those are excellent but like it was said the GPU driver needs an update

your system is fully stable by the numbers you mention it would be time to try a new driver

BTW don't always take driver reviews to seriously they wouldn't update drivers if it wasn't a reason for it

"GeForce 320.49 drivers includes several fixes for issues reported with 320.18 drivers". The driver seems to be trustworthy and I looked through the release notes and it seems like the GTX 670 has improved frames and fixes in several games :). Happy gaming

like 20 minutes ago when i started upgrading my drivers... Both of my screens turned black and i waited like 5mins but nothing happened. I forced my pc to shutdown and rebooted it. After getting back to windows my resolution was messed up and it still showed i had 314.22 drivers installed so i just deleted them, rebooted and tried to instal 320.49. This time my attemp was succesfull. Anyways Wtf was that? any ideas?

Well I know that when I update my AMD drivers my screen goes black but only for a few seconds and it restores to normal, not sure what happened in your situation. Now, since you got the 320.49 drivers installed, go ahead and see if you have the same FPS drop issues and report back if you have any issues :).

I hope the new drivers do improve your gaming experience and the fact you are experiencing problems when playing FF XIV doesn't surprise me as the game recently came out and you aren't the only one experiencing the fps drop issues. So all I can say for FF XIV is it should be better over time as new drivers improve performance. Have fun gaming! :)

So guys i ran 35mins furmark BurnIn test without any problems max temps were 74c so does this mean my gpu is okay?

http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/2444/ez6.png <--- here is pic about it + cpu and gpu monitor values.

The temperatures for both the CPU and GPU are perfectly acceptable :).

Good, glad to hear that i don´t have to worry about faulty gpu. Thanks guys for your help and advices i will report if problem persists. : ) Have a nice evening! (It´s 19pm in Finland.)

So guys i played FF XIV about 2 hours and had no problems.(Doesn´t prove me that game still possibly could malfunction.) But just to be sure i also ran furmark again but this time on my native resolution which is ofcourse 1080p for 35mins and max temps for gpu were 74c. Can i assume now that atleast my gpu ain´t faulty?

Note i also ran the prime couple days ago fot 59mins without problem + today earlier furmark with default resolution.

Sorry for making so many questions! I appreciate your help and co-operation, thanks guys! You´re awesome!

Here is the pic about new results...

Yes your gpu seems to be functioning perfectly normal as for FF XIV as i mentioned before it has issues that causes crashes as you are not the only one. Test other games and see if you get the driver crash again, if not then it must have been the old nvidia driver causing it.
