Paul, this was the Sabertooth I've had for a couple of weeks. I found the bent pin after a sudden BSOD. I am replacing the Z77 and also getting a Z87 version too.

Brian return the crappy one to where you got it and reorder from Amazon.

Roger that mate. So you will be getting another Haswell chip too then. Another i7? I think you want to get a nice new case to go with this nice hardware you keep buying!

Well....with all the returns/RAM-ing I've done I still had a i7-4770K. I haven't bought that much, mainly exchanges. I did buy RAM, CPU, and the 2 boards. I'd love a new case but can't afford one of those.

Anyway sooner or later someone will get one in there Jeepman is pretty much 400.mhz off I wouldn't be surprised if he did it first dude is one mean Overclocker

BTW, Bill. I'm on the OCN leaderboard for 5 GHz overclocks. I'm #15, the # 1 is 6868 GHz. We aren't that crazy. Look at the socket 1155 IB board. *[Official] 5GHz Overclock Club*

I tried it on the machine in my specs and it won't even run. I got an error about a missing file or dll, I should have snipped it.

Did you click on the desktop icon or from the direct exe ?

I have it running right now. I see very little difference in the older version. It works fine for me.

I clicked the .exe which started the dumb InstallIQ crap, then the desktop icon.
I'll try again after a shower and some coffee.

I have the core temp gadget on my desktop. Just swapped the exe in my core temp folder, and it's working fine here. As mentioned, I see no difference. But it is obviously meant for nrwer CPUs. A Guy

I got the Sabertooth and it`s in excellent condition, if you guys have any info or have had any install problems, please let me know , I notice there are a lot of traces right near the 4 cpu cooling fan holes. I am going to buy some small plastic washers so I don`t ruin the board. I don`t know what`s up with my iphone it`s taking some really bad pics lately.

Brian, getting the cooler pump screws in the threads is a bit fiddly I think. I'm getting quite good at it though. I use a bright flashlight to help me see where the screws go and try to hold the assembly level and hit at least two holes before I let it go. Start one a few turns then get the others. I've only been finger tightening them two and it's a tight fit up near the plastic armor.

If you use the 35mm assist fans, the wires are a little hard to hide but can be done.
