@Espair - On my old PC just two weeks after my warranty passed out I went to the store to buy two additional fans. Extra cooling never hurt anyone, you should stick with me so that this doesn't happen anymore, and yes, many people complain from nVidia, just get an ATI and rest your case. On my old PC I was with an ATI x1050 series, and it lived it's six years without a twitch, even if the fan was stuck up with dust, I could usually play games for 45-60 minutes before I got the blank screen which reminded me "Yow, ur card needs kleanin!"...

I second that entirely. + old type cheap ass capacitors.

You could replace them with new capacitors, and the card will work again.

100% agree with all - built with old caps or cheap caps. go to Radio shack, but a cheap soldering gun, and small roll of solder... remove the caps in ?. go to radio shack and buy the next size in power larger... dementions the same. clerk will assist... look and insert the leads back correctly. all caps are marked + / - the board will also be.
solder the lead back... (when the solder is bright an shiney its proper) let cool, trim the excess leads. insert and it should work again.

cheap labor is always nice to have..YOU pay your self.

I hve used both and guys it depends on many things. manufacture of Video cards, buy the CAP in BULK.... its not the card manufacture its the
overseas company that makes thing CHEAP or the southern place that also uses cheap labor. cheap labor means cheap parts.

PS: you can also buy all repair parts made in USA but you have to look harder... unless your in the UK, that is another story.

What brand card? I've had three evga cards and all three have had exploding capacitors.

No more evga **** for me.
