I'm trying to install Windows 7 but I think I might have a bad burn. I burned it with Roxio at 4x speed. Every time I try to install it there's always a missing or corrupt file. So I'm trying one more time and then reburning a new DVD.
What program would you recommend I use? And what speed? I know that slower is better but the slowest my program had was 4x.

Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? First time I tried x86 without any formatting. Next I tried x64 and it seemed to get further but then it restarted and said my CPU wont work with x64. Now I'm trying to format again and then install x86 again.

I've used ImgBurn here while preferring an updated program like StarBurn that supports iso burning. 7 now offers iso burning seeing native support included in Windows there for the first time.

That's if an upgrade attempt was being made. If booting from disk or a flash drive there's only one option available when mismatched. custom
When going to burn I generally never to worry about what speed anything is at with a 22x dvd burner and simply letting the burning program run at it's own normal speed. I very rarely fling a disk unless the program glitches, the disk is bad, or the data being burned has a problem. The burning speed has never been any problem if the other three factors are all good.

i use Nero..
4x is slow enough and it shud be ok..
last time i also though the slower the better.. but after i changed my system.. it doesnt matter now.. i can even burn 8x or 16x while playing games.. now i was thinking mayb its my previous system too weak to handle burning?
The one thing most don't realize when going to burn any disk especially dvds is the amount of cpu time the burning will request. That puts a good sized tax on that. If you were running a single or lower model dual core mainly slower model you can see how things will get pulled down quite a bit.
With a heftier build and games that are not intrusive to clash with Nero you are sliding by while before you probably see one or the other lock up on you. The one thing I'll say about the other programs mentioned here is that those are lighter in weight as rule when compared to the last newest versions of Nero. You don't see the extras like the secure disk viewer in Eseentials.
