The EaseUS offer flashes this window very quickly when the installer is started. It add Give Away of The Day to IE favorites too.

Britton, does it do anything else? I downloaded it but noticed the fishy install. I read the read me and it states must have the gcd file that makes me worry. SMAP, Adware, Spyware, crimeware, etc.

it would encourage me to build.
No neweggs here in Spain near Gibraltar.
Although have used amazon.es for a Samsung 840 pro SSD which I am very happy with.
I guess I am stuck with amazon for parts and decent prices.

I have found Amazon to have better pricing then Newegg on lot of items. Even when Newegg offers a discount code, Amazon meets the price without a special.

Ditto, I use Amazon almost all the time. I can be qualified as a Newegg hater But, as said above, I've found that Amazon has just as good deals as Newegg in the majority of cases. And, if you have Prime, the free 2 day shipping usually make most of the deals better on Amazon. Not to speak of the fact that Amazon has much better customer service.

The problem with Amazon, for me, is I have to pay State tax on purchases since Amazon has fulfillment centers here in AZ.

I've not found anything "bad". The .gcd file, I think, allows the installer to check the site to make sure the free offer still exists. You can delete if after activating EaseUS.

Seems to be clean, here's an Adwcleaner log I just ran.

You are right Wolfgang, they have minimal details on everything. Newegg is useful for specs and pictures though.

I usually check both Newegg and Amazon to get the information I need and then decide on the best deal for me.
Like a lot of people go to Best Buy to look at products then buy online for less. It almost killed Best Buy and may do so yet.

I guess I will have a more serious look at Amazon. The wife has an account there. Up to now I bought all my stuff at Newegg - nearly several times per week, LOL. But rarely big ticket items except for the SSDs. The big ticket items I prefer to buy locally (if the price is right). Then I can more easily deal with problems.

If you buy from Amazon just make sure, with big ticket items, it says sold by and shipped from Amazon. You will never have a problem. They have the best customer support than anybody. Give you an example. I bought a motherboard that was doa. I went to my account and found the sale. I clicked the button to return it. They have a drop down list of reasons. I selected defective. The response was click this link to print a pre paid return label and you have 30 days to return it. 1 hour later, I received an email that said your replacement item was shipped today with free 2 day shipping. Now, if it gets better than that, someone please tell me where.

406GBP sure sounds better than $667. But that's what it converts to. But, your price sounds much better, but they are $599 here on Newegg.

There I draw the line. If I go to a store to physically see a product, I'll usually buy it from them. I also buy locally if I'm trying out a product; return costs are less.

Same thing with me (I have preached this before). An I only got the original charge on my card. I had the replacement in 2 days.

YMMV greatly with non-Amazon.

Just ordered a 2TB Black HDD from them yesterday. Should get it tomorrow. I will now only buy "fragile" equipment, or equipment with high defect rates online from Amazon and sold by Amazon.
