Boom. 32 degrees.
With windows installed, a DOA (so I think) Hard drive and a case fan that I can't seem to install, and a power cable for my optical drive I can say that I'm in the final stretch.

I guess i'll start a new topic for these things, since they're different from this.
I love you all

I don't really understand how this issue was resolved. A bit more explanation may help others.

Sorry, I was in a hurry.
Okay, now that Windows is loaded, the temperature has dropped to an average of 32 degrees (accrd. to CoreTemp), which doesn't give me a heart attack like my original 50 deg+

But, as with most things, I still have issues that I'll address in other topics.
These include:
1) Possibly DOA Hard drive (My SSD is fine)
2) A case fan that I can't seem to screw in
3) I need to buy a power cable for my optical drive

Yeah that's more like it, and they're in-line with mine.

We're still confused as to how you got the temperatures down. I was under the impression that reseating the CPU cooler solved the issue based on your post here....

EDIT----
I've realized that my one of stock CPU fan's black pins is not completely all the way through. I've tried to push it in, but it's as far as it can go. I've pulled back on the fan to see if it could wiggle loose, but it's firmly in there.
Just wanted you to know

Is this what fixed your temps???

Thanks.

I solved it by actually using Windows to read my temps, along with re-securing the CPU cooler.

Turns out my BIOS is 15-18 deg off my true idle temp

Thanks for the update Dave, but get a decent cooler for the CPU. I suspect you'd see another 5C-10C drop.
