I like the choices. I would also get the Z87-Pro form Amazon.ca too though, much better customer service and retrun policy if needed. http://www.amazon.ca/Asus-Z87-PRO-I...8&qid=1391201900&sr=8-1&keywords=ASUS+Z87-PRO

If you were looking to use the rebate on Newegg.ca, you can use it on the purchase from Amazon, it's form ASUS directly.

Your budget of $1000 looks a bit low for what is turning out to be a high end system. Your CPU and graphics card alone comes to $620. In addition to the mobo and RAM do you need to buy all the other bits; case, psu, OS, monitor, keyboard/mouse.
I agree with the others and like my older ASUS motherboard. Depending on what you plan to do I'd consider a PSU larger than 500W especially if you may get a 2nd graphics card at some stage.

I agree with the others and like my older ASUS motherboard. If you need to trim costs you could consider an i5-4670k and even an AsRock mother board.

I don't need to buy OS, monitor, keyboard/mouse. I still need to buy PSU, RAM, HDD, and Case

I think it's best to check the case specs with the PSU dimensions. But I'd be surprised if a good name brand case didn't support the popular name brand PSUs. Others may know more.
Also I would go for a good brand case. Look at the ability to tidy up your wiring when using non modular PSUs (all the PSU wiring comes out of the PSU). Look at the fans supplied and those that can be fitted after. Check that the case dimensions fit your CPU cooler. You probably want to have USB3 ports on the front of the case. etc etc. The case manufacturer websites will give all this info.

If the case is an ATX it will fit an ATX PSU. The PSU may have some spec like ATC ver 2.01 but the physical size is the same, the version number would indicate the cables included.

This will tell you how to use a bootable USB stick. It's how I've done my last few fresh installs, it runs a bit quicker that from a DVD too.

I personally give a nod to Cooler Master cases in general, more well know, decent support. I no nothing about Azza though.

Looks like you are well on your way. It's fun and I'm sure you will build a great PC at good value for money.
Just one thing to pay attention to is the thermal paste when fitting your CPU with an after market cooler. Arctic Silver is a good paste and the application instructions are here
Arctic Silver, Inc. - Intel® Application Methods
Even if you don't use Arctic Silver, their guidelines are worthwhile.
Don't overdo the application of the paste. More can be worse.

I think you well like the haf922. Plenty of room for either a 120.1 or 120.2 AIO, lot of air moving thru the case. I have a 922 and a 932. You can get a windowed side panel if inclined, run with or without the side fan. I like the extra air from the side panel fan. I use Demicflex filters on both cases, positive pressure gives me a dust free computer. After 12 months of 24/7 I have less dust than 3 months running unfiltered.

I'm impressed with CM warranty, I started to get some noise from the top mounted 240 fan in my 922. One email to CM and I was sent a link to a rma form, filled it out and received a new replacement fan straight away. I wanted to different led color than the original, no problem, I was not even asked to return the defective fan. I think the defective fan can be saved with a clean and oil then mounted in a vertical position. The big fans mounted in a horizontal position wear out sooner from the blade weight.

IT has a very good cooler, better than the PNY and twice the GDDR5 (dedicated graphics RAM) .

Yes the CPU will come with a cooler, it's very handy to keep papers from blowing away. Even running without overclocks Haswell can get very hot, and it's very noisy, like a small jet turbine.

I recommend this one at least. I have it and installed 2 fans in push/pull configuration.
