The Windows 8 installer opens up 2 tabs in my browser

Yeah, at least you can just forget them if you don't need them.

Yeah, I deleted every language pack I could find, and it still says this:

Well it certainly looks like it is still seeing a language pack somewhere.

Maybe Confirm is supposed to close the Window. Can you manually close it, or use Cntrl Alt Del to close it via the Task Manager? Then what happens?

Someone at Windows 8 Forums probably knows a workaround, just like we know the workarounds for 7.

Have you unchecked everything in msconfig>Startup and msconfig>Services after Hiding All MS Services? A running process like IE may be hanging the installer.

I have almost nothing in my startup.

As far as running processes/services go, I've tried to kill almost everything before reruning the installer and nothing helped.

I guess I'll start a thread on the 8 forums, I just already had an account here lol :)

That might be your best bet, you'll see a lot of the same people over there.

Like Greg said, they probably have a work around or have seen this issue.

Almost nothing in Startup may not cut it. To troubleshoot this requires an absolutely clean startup, uninstaliing the program if there's any doubt at all.
