Solved A password manager with documentation that makes sense?

I've been going around in circles with KeePass for several hours and I can't get the hang of it. I'm reasonably techified and don't often run up against a total blank, especially with a program others are strongly touting. I'm sure it's me but damn it's frustrating!

I have tons of passwords and realize a text file listing them isn't the best management practice. I'm trying to get from A through B to C where

"A" is the list of sites (and systems) and the associated passwords which I enter into the software...

"B" is the process by which my often-pitiful passwords are converted to strong passwords...

"C" (and this is the kicker) is the process by which I visit all those sites and their log-ins are automagically changed to my new and improved passwords.

Is this possible? Am I asking more of the technology than it has to give?

If I can't have the whole process, I'd surely appreciate recommendations for the best of the bunch for creating as much of my wish list as possible. Preferably with documentation that makes sense.

I've read the reviews and have tried several programs. I keep coming back to 1Password; I'd try LastPass except that I don't want to involve the Cloud in this.

Anyway, I've narrowed it down to 1Password and something called BFolders. I found BFolders for my Kindle Fire and researched it. It looks promising because it also have a PC desktop version that seems to have all the features I want (we'll see after further research) and allows syncing without the Cloud. It also seems to promise compatibility with my about to be received smartphone.

So I think it's down to those two. I've never had a smartphone before so I may not be able to use it to help me decide but the other two - Kindle and Desktop - should give me all I need.

Or I may stay with 1Password which may work with a smartphone but doesn't allow input in the Kindle read-only version.

Right. You have to buy a license for both my final candidates. I should have mentioned I was aware of that. I have to say that ease of administration and security trump cost for me at this point.

I've been dismayed at the lack of good documentation for these applications. I'm technologically experience x many years and am generally considered a bright person. I'm good at problem solving and can usually get around software installation confusion. Not this time. Maybe it's me.

Anyway, I'm sneaking up on a reasonable compromise for what I need.

Sheesh. 1Password it is I guess. As Malwarebytes was scanning the B-Folders installer, I noticed several java components. So that rules that out. Don't want Java if I don't need it. And I don't.

So now I *will* mark it solved. Thanks all.
