Hi, this is my first post and I am hoping to solve the issue my custom computer is having. Some background story of my PC is, I've recently changed the mobo and ram after my computer is unable to start up. Reformat and changed HDD just 1 day ago and doesn't fix the problem.

I have attached the bsod logs in this post as well! Tried to hotfix the issue but realize I'm not capable of doing so atm. Found out that I have a Error 0x0000001E with all four parameters empty (full of 0 and nothing else).

I am having random computer freeze with freezing at desktop right after booting up, AND while shutting down (with the "Shutting Down" windows 7 background.)

Please help! Thank you!!!!!!

Seems that you have no BSODs. Go to C:\Windows and look for a minidump folder. If there are any in there then post them up. If not then follow this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html to make sure everything is configured right.

Code:
Hotfix(s): [COLOR="Red"]4 Hotfix(s) Installed[/COLOR].
With you already having SP1 installed, you should have somewhere from 172-217 hotfixes installed. Use windows update and get your PC updated with the latest fixes. Otherwise your PC will be more vulnerable to viruses and Maleware.

Hihi, it means that I currently do not have any anti-virus installed. previously was using Avira.

Weird. The folder you asked me to go to is empty, and I followed the tutorial you gave me as well and the only thing different from the tutorial is "Automatically Restart" is unchecked. Otherwise it is all the same. Forgot to mention I just only reformat my computer and so I didn't have time to do windows update. However, I had this random BSOD and freezing issue before I did the reformatting (which is updated on windows update and has antivirus - Avira installed)

EDIT: Current dump mode is "kernel"

Thanks both for replying!

Okay, so you are saying after the BSOD occured you performed a clean install? And this is why you no longer have the dump files? Without the dump files we cannot be for sure what was causing the BSOD. Atleast until it happens again.

As an Anti-Virus I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

If you do have anymore BSODs, do not reformat and post up the files so we can find the cause of them.

Hihi! No, what I meant was I still have BSOD and freezing issues after I performed a clean install. I took a picture of the BSOD screen. This is the technical information for the BSOD after clean install. This BSOD happened after the clean install but I didn't get any dump files =( Really have no idea why. Maybe I have to wait for another BSOD to occur .. soon ...

*** STOP: 0x0000001E (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

Will get the anti-virus as mentioned by you!

Not very much in the dump, let's try running driver verifier,

   Information
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Driver Verifier will cause your computer to run very sluggishly - this is normal. What it is trying to do is force your system to BSOD and isolate the offending driver/s. When it does, reboot, disable driver verifier, reboot as normal and upload the new dmp file/s here.

I recommend creating a system restore point before turning on driver verifier:
System Restore Point - Create

If your system fails to boot to desktop once driver verifier is enabled, turn it off by booting into Safe Mode:
Safe Mode

There's a newer one available here,

I also see Daemon tools installed, that is known to cause problems,

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause of BSOD's.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
- Double click the executable to open it
- Click the button shown below

picture.php

If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.

For step two remove Daemon tools lite, I see it in your startup programs.

It is a known trouble maker, so it's best to get rid of it right now.
