Solved How to remove password from rar file? (i know the password but)

I do not want to hack. Just want to remove password protection from that file. I know it's password.

I think it would be easier to just copy the uncompressed contents to a new rar without a password.

Derek is correct. The password can't be removed, that would make it useless if so. Unpack it and RAR it up again and Derek said.

Thanks for suggestion. But still is there any proper way to remove password protection.

There are programs that can do it, but they are dictionary attacks or brute force, which will try every alpha numeric combo possible. I've read if the password is 5 characters it can take a few decades to crack, but the password will remain. Is there a problem just re packing it? you say you know the password, I don't see what's so difficult.

To remove a password from an existing RAR archive, No.
From what I have been able to determine all methods of removing a password on a RAR archive involve extracting the files and then creating a new archive with no password. As you know the password that is very simple. Why make things more difficult?

If RAR, ZIP, or 7Z passwords were easy to remove, why have one, anyone could open any file?
