Solved No libraries showing in save as window when saving from a browser

I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to fix this problem. When I save something to my computer or upload something to the internet, the save as/browse window just shows a blank box where the libraries and favourites tabs should be, meaning I can only save files in one folder on my PC or make loads of shortcuts in folders around my computer. Saving from programs, like word or paint, however, does show the tabs at the side.

I've tried changing the windows themes, and changing browsers but neither worked. Does anyone have any other ideas?

You might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened may be able to undo and fix it for you.

I don't know why but my earliest restore point is only 4 days ago. I must have turned it off at some point but I can't remember doing it

There should be an option to "Show more restore ponts" at bottom left of the restore window.

I checked the box, but 4 days ago is my earliest restore point and I first noticed this at least a month ago so I don't know what else I could do

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Running a sfc /scannow command may help if it's just a modified or corrupted system file that needs to be repaired.
