Hello.

After a recent re-install of my Laptop computer I ran in to a wierd problem when I try to install any games using the Battle.net applicaton to download the games from Blizzard. After installing battle.net and logging in to my blizzard account and then deciding which game to install, the downloader goes on for a few secunds to a few minutes sometimes before I get BSoD'ed. I've tried contacting blizzard and giving them the information of my computer / error messages but they didn't help me solve my problem so I'm hoping I could get some here.

What I've done on my own to solve the problem is (bear in mind that I'm not 100% sure of what I actually have been doing since I lack any cunning for computers):

1. After re-installing my OS I updated every driver to the latest.
2. re-installed the computer again after noticing this problem the first time fearing that I had done something wrong during the installment.
3. Uninstalled protection software that comes with the re-installment. As of now Im currently using Panda Global Protection 2015.
4. When attempting to install the blizzard games I've turned of my firewall/anti-virus. At the 2nd installment of the computer I didnt install my panda even before attempting to install the blizzard games. Results were the same.
5.Trying to apply windows update/error fixes for known errors. No results.
6. I've run Debugging scans, CCleaner, hardware checks and so on.
7. Ofc I tried and restall the battle.net application several times.

This is what I've done on my own so far. I've only run in to this problem when trying to download the files from blizzard throu the battle.net application (which tey require you to use). Please help me since I really wanna get back in to playing my games again :(

here comes from files.

Loka, unfortunately you have no dump files in the files you uploaded. Dump files are what we go by, so we can offer little help until we get one. Have you had an actual Blue Screen since your last reinstall? Please make sure your computer is set up to create Small Memory Dumps
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html

can you tell me where you got the installation DVD and what method you used to install it? Does your Laptop use switchable graphics? Any other thing you can tell us would be helpful. Does it only have problems with Battle.net?

The next BSOD you get after configuring your computer as linked above, please post the http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use option #2 this time and click the 'Grab All' button. Maybe that will work better.

Ow sorry, thought I followed the guides the 2nd time I uploaded the files but here it comes again.

As answear to your questions. When I reinstalled my computer I dont use any dvd to do so. I'm using Acers inbuilt reinstall/repair tools etc. Dont know what its called but it doesnt require a CD to use.

About the graphics. I'm not sure, how do I figure this out? I got a inbuilt graphic card (for the motherboard?) and then a Nvidia Gforce graphic card aswell. Since my last reinstall I've had bluescreens every time I try to install the blizzard games. So yes, I've had blue screens.I have only noticed this problem with battle.net.

Atheros network adapter driver

As far as the Panda, you need to update it or contact Panda Support or their forums or uninstall it. The Atheros may be a cause or it may be a victim, but it would not hurt to check your Motherboard Manufacturer's drivers for your computer and make sure they driver is the latest version. See if any of those help.

Thanks for the reply! I'll look in to this as soon as possible and come back with any results. Wierd tho about the panda. Because when I reinstalled the computer the 2nd time I tried downloading battle.net / the blizzard games before installing any panda software. So maybe it's the adapter drivers that is to blame?

Thanks for taking the time answearing =)

Decided to reinstall the computer once again. The first thing I did after I had done the installation was that I downloaded the battle.net and run the download. No BSOD so far and I've succesfully downloaded World of Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo 3. I haven't played the games yet but it's a step in the right direction, right? Gonna install Panda once again once I've installed all the other stuff.
Thanks for have taken the time to read my post. :)

No problem, Loka. Be sure to run all the updates, except the graphics card. You'll need a lot of them to run the games right. Let me know how it comes out.

I just installed heartstone a few minutes ago, just to check if I would get BSoD after I had updated my graphics drivers + installed Panda Global protection. And what do you know, I get BSoD :) So I firstly uninstalled the graphic drivers. still BSoD'ed after that. So I uninstalled Panda and checked again. No BSoD during that installment. So I'm 99% sure it was Panda..DAMN YOU PANDA :((( I'm gonna reinstall it tho now because I dont wanna be without a protection software. Gonna send a message to Panda about this so that they can take a look at it, I'm sure Ill have to download future patches for the games later on and I dont wanna get BSoD'ed then.

I had a similar issue, and this thread helped me fix it, thanks!

I could install Starcraft and Hearthstone, but would get the the Blue Screen 0x00000050 error while installing WoW. Uninstalling Panda antivirus (NOT just disabling it- required uninstall), fixed it. I now use Avast Free...screw you, Panda!!

P.S. Panda wouldn't even uninstall properly, hanging during the process and weirdly changing its language to Spanish. I had to go to their website and download the special uninstall utility. Supposedly a lot of people have trouble uninstalling it :(

McLovin77, I'm glad it helped you. It is not uncommon for most AV's to be difficult to uninstall. Most of them you never completely get rid of them without a clean install. Avast will be the same. You will have to go to their web site for the uninstall utility. Much of it is just the 'nature of the beast'.
