Solved Windows 7 x64 Updates Keep Failing

I just finished a virus removal for a co-worker and am now getting errors trying to install the updates that are available. The main one which I would like to get is IE11. I keep getting the error codes: 0x8007371B and 9C57. I have tried every tool and fix-it solution from Microsoft that I could find as well as installing the updates manually, but they always fail. Run all the tests and reboot afterwards. Then try again.

Run all the tests and reboot afterwards. Then try again.

Tried this with no luck.

Yes. Even double checked it when it didn't work.

Oops, my bad you said uninstall. However I looked in the installed updates and didn't see it listed.

Yes try a repair install

Yes, the time is correct. I did the repair install over night and it downloaded 155 updates while I was at work. We'll see if it installs those as well as IE 11. Thanks for your help. I'll report back with the final results.

Solved! Solution: Repair Install

It is actually an upgrade with same version. All settings will remain the same so all software works as before. As a result the problems saty as well.... unless they are in the resetted system part.
