No signal to TV

To start, I don't have any alternative hardware to use. What I have is what I have to work with. I have a EVGA GTX 460 graphics card. It is sending the signal to my Samsung 32" LED through Mini HMDI -> HDMI. The problem I am having is that it won't display a signal. I need to get into my BIOS and boot from CD so I can reformat everything. How do I get it to display? Once or twice about a few weeks ago it booted and went to windows but it froze completely. Now I can't get a single thing out of it. Anyone know a solution?

Hi,
This is pretty basic connection,
One have you tried a different hdmi port on the t.v.
What brand/ model t.v. ?
You did remember to activate the hdmi port in the t.v. settings ?
Winkey + P will give you the display options but you probably will need to make sure that port is active on the t.v.

I know for a fact that it's not the TV, I use the same port for other devices all the time. It has something to do with the computer. My first guess was the graphics card. I've tried taking out different parts to see if there was a conflict between hardwares but nothing. my PSU is a 700W as well which means it's more than enough. I just feel like the card is dead, but I'm hoping otherwise. Also if you read the entire post, i tell you what kind of TV it is....

Our Samsung will not automatically detect the HDMI port from the PC. We have to go to the TV input menu and manually select it....?

Does your mobo have on board graphics?

Don't know what on board graphics are....It is supposed to be a "Smart" model..? It will connect to the internet on it's own....I never really understood why it would not auto detect the input sources......?

Could be a cheap hdmi cable or too long and not enough signal :/
Onboard graphic's is a good troubleshooting step but if in doubt take a picture of the back of the computer so we may see all of the connections it has,

By default onboard graphic's will be disabled if a graphic's card is installed so you need to remove it.
Then connect to the other vga or dvi port and hdmi port

Does your mobo have on board graphics?

Did some thinking and checking and it does have Intel on board graphics. It's been so long since I built that computer I forgot what OBG.s were! I usually use a separate card but I remember thinking that for the TV, it probably was not worth the expense......

I would try pulling the graphics card then connect via the mobo's on board connectors. If you get a signal then try installing the graphics card again. If there's no signal then likely the issue is with the GPU and or its connection to the mono and or power requirements.
