Solved The Topic is about Readyboost

Hi, I am new and my 1st online post. The question is about Readyboost I know all about Readyboost, I red a lot about it online specially Microsoft.com . And there also too many post already about ready boost but have n't found this yet that

1st . How to make windows load cache in flash drive using Readyboost at startup because after 9 minutes windows begins to load cache then it takes almost 6 minutes which means Total 15 minutes :huh:. Then I can put load on computer like running game. If I run a game or watch HD video while loading cache, then its stuck because of hard drive loads cache in flash drive. That's y want a way to load cache at startup.

2nd. I also study that Readyboost is a achieve/compressed file which make CPU more work to read/write. Want a way to reduce the compression of readyboost to reduce the cache loading time.

3rd. When Flash Drive Filled with cache of Readyboost let's say 1GB, then the Readyboost works as Random to Sequential reads ? Because we put all data in one file that's y readyboost speed up ? If we take a close look flash drive Read sequential like 18 MB/s and Read random like 2 Mb/s.

Thx for all these question also I only made this account to get these answers. Or may my post could be reject. LOL

Actually it matters a lot. If you have a lot of memory then using ready boost won't help too much. If you don't have enough then instead of using ready boost I would recommend getting more memory.

How much ram you have means everything when you are asking questions about Ready Boost.

I got 2 gb Ram but 258 system reserve i think its a graphic card . One more thing do i need to wait to rebuilt cache for readyboost or i can put load on pc.

ReadyBoost is managed by the system with no need for user involvement. Just use the computer as you did before. It was designed for systems with slow hard drives and limited RAM. With 2 GB RAM it may be of limited value but I wouldn't expect much.

ReadyBoost essentially acts as a disk cache. A cache retains a copy of frequently accessed data to make subsequent accesses faster. It does not load data in anticipation of what will be needed later. This behavior is inherent in the way a cache works.

2 GB RAM is not adequate for gaming. This is the minimum supported for a 64 bit OS and is suitable only for light use, which gaming is not. For decent performance you would need a minimum of 4 GB RAM with 8 GB being preferred.

ReadyBoost can help somewhat but it is not a substitute for adequate RAM.

Data would load faster from ram than from a usb drive, even one that is usb 3, therefore I agree with LMiller's advice. You need more ram especially for heavy gaming. I wouldn't see a need for 8 gb though but I am not a gamer.
