MS Outlook 2010 Signature

When sending an email in Outlook 2010, my signature has these pink tags that say "placename". After research it suggests that it is "smart tags" but no matter how hard I try, I can't turn them off!

Any ideas on how to get my signature to look normal again?

Try recreating the signature, save as a new one and delete the old one.
