Do you have a System Backup Image or Restore Point from before the problem started ?

Do you have a key you can tap on your PC when it is starting up that will bring up the "One time boot menu" so you can select the CD/DVD drive to boot from ?
Some PC's F8 brings up the one time boot menu, but other PC's use a different key.

If not, can you go into BIOS and set the boot order so the CD/DVD drive is the first boot device ?

Are you sure the disc is a working bootable disc ?
Can you try it in another PC to see if it will boot on that machine ?

Maybe you need to create a new bootable rescue disc ?

What do you mean by
I use f8 to boot from recue disk witch it does but it doesn't
Did you ever use this Rescue Disc before, successfully ?
Is F8 the correct key to choose what device to boot from ?
Can you post screen prints from a camera showing what you see ?

I have Macrium free on my triple-boot Test box.
I never tried RESTORING an Image from within Windows for the OS I am restoring.
If I want to restore the W7-64 OS partition, I boot into Win 8.1, run Macrium, and restore the W7-64 backup image to the W7-64 partition.
I do CREATE backup images for all OS's from within Windows, including the OS currently running, and that has never caused a problem for me.
That's what I meant when I said I can still run Macrium from within Windows.

I created the Rescue Disc in case I might ever need it, and tested that I can boot from the disc, test that I can find everything, no problems, etc.
I have not created a new rescue disc with the LATEST Macrium free version yet.

Anyway, if your Rescue disc is a working bootable CD/DVD you should be able to boot from it.

It sounds like you are saying your CD rescue disc was created with an older version of Macrium, and now can't restore a backup image you created with a newer version of Macrium ?

Is that what is happening for you ?

Have you created a new Rescue CD with the latest version of Macrium, and see if that can restore the image you want to restore ?

yes I have created a new version of the rescue disk from a new version of the program but still was not without problems, the new disk would load the program see pic below but with out keyboard or mouse control so u couldn't proceed, (click no by the way u don't need) anyway about 4 to 5 shut downs I got that screen with mouse curser I could select (no) and my long awaited restore began

but need better program to do all this will start a new thread

Glad to hear you finally got it to work, good job
I don't know why you had those driver issues, maybe it has to do with the PE version used creating the rescue disc?
Some people here prefer Aomei Backupper free:
Free Download AOMEI Backupper Standard: Windows Backup & Cloning Software

I know this is a bit off subject but Aomei backupper didn't really install as I would of fort in fact took ages to track down then did nothing ???? ill start new thread but cheers
