I noticed 3 updates available for my Win 7 64 bit computer , one was for windows phone which i didn't install , i tried to find more info on (KB3048761) but the Microsoft knowledge based article is showing no info available.

I run about a decade or two behind most folks , i got my first computer a mere three years ago , i still have to fight to get past the log in screen every morning so i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed thats for sure.

I figure another decade and i'll be primed to pick up my first official smart phone of some sort , of course by that time there will be something new and nobody will remember what a smart phone is . I should be able to pick one up second hand for cheap $$ so i'll be in real good shape i think.

And yes, i sometimes still listen to cassette tapes.

Have to agree with you on the "not very charming" thing , definitely not the ideal word , i would go with "subpar" or "mediocre at best" actually.

The differences are on the inside and just how stable is it in real time usage
This is where iphone 4 has been a rock solid device for me anyway for the last 3. years
I hate to give it up but eventually the battery cycling will kill it and I'll have to upgrade to a newer model but I know for sure it won't be the new bending/ Butt contouring one

Didn't even know the batteries were not replaceable , if they are lithium based batteries you can greatly prolong a phones lifespan by not completely draining it before recharging .

Thats a big time life reducing practice that most people aren't aware of.

They are replaceable but Apple has to do it which makes it way too expensive to consider,
Plus your without a phone for a unknown amount of time
Better to upgrade and keep it for an ipod.. or sell it online :/

Got one with removable battery, not that easy to open to access as the same is the SD card slot, inside.
A bit slippery to hold and I found an advantage of the cheap polycarbonate cover helping when bangs on corners. Otherwise its works overall well and its what i do expect. Not that fancy too.

Yep that's the only thing that has saved it so long is the phone cover
It's pretty tough
Battery is still pretty good but no where what it was as you can imagine after 3 years of charging,
But it does show how well it's made to last that long.
