I haven't seen this update come through yet but if and when it does, does it mean there's a way to get security only updates after January 2020?

Oh right, thanks for clarifying that, back to Plan A then. I'm guessing the updates in Early January will be the last?

I already had SP1 installed.

On 9th November got 132 mainly seem to be recommended - last one was KB3006137 and the rest were recommended for W7x64 based system. Had a few more monthly ones since.

May well be normal updates but seem to be a large number of them all right now - so wondered if they were sort of strengthening W7 before cut off date etc.

I have it set for automatic updates and usually find it will download any that failed if I notice them and then set it off to check for updates and get the failed ones intact etc.

Ok then it must just be normal - I am now still debating what to do come the cut off.

Not alone it that I bet - why they did 10 when 7 was IMHO best yet - had a lot of lemons prior but XP was great and then i felt 7 was XP updated and good enough for ever and ever Amen. :D

AWW CRAP!

looks like Microsoft has pulled KB4528069 from any recent MS Update Catalog searches as searching for KB4528069 now produces no results. the direct msu links to them may still work, however.

And MS support article 4528069 was recently updated on 2/12/2020 to have this note:

Note This update is no longer available. Customers who have purchased the Extended Security Update (ESU) for on-premises versions of this OS must follow the procedures in KB4522133 to continue receiving security updates after extended support ends on January 14, 2020. To verify ESU eligibility, please use any Monthly Rollup or Security Only update released February 11, 2020 or later, such as KB4537820 or KB4537813.
