Hello. I have been having a problem with my computer for some time now. Before, while i was playing (almost any game) my computer would freeze and only a striped black-white screen would appear and a screeching sound could be heard from my headphones. That problem was fixed(don't know why or how it worked) when i underclocked my GPU to 950mhz. Now since i had some fps problems with hairworks in The Witcher 3 i returned it to the original 1100mhz but the problem has returned although a little bit different. Now the screen just disappears with a message "DVI no signal" but the sound is still on.

Thank You

Hey and welcome to SevenForums!

The first bit sounds like your Graphics card is dead and is now Artifacting. By reducing the clock speeds, you may have extended the life of the card ever so slightly, but by putting the higher clocks back on and the higher voltages, you've just reset the issue.

I will post this for additional help, but it seems like you will need a new GPU. Sorry!

I've also looked through your driver list, and you do not seem to have any display drivers installed. Could you please update your systemspecs -- http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html to give us some more base knowledge of your system?

Thank you, i have updated system specs. The reason i didn't have any drivers at the moment was because i was following http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/336910-bsod-random-situations-caused-atikmdag-sys.html and was installing the 13.9 driver in that post

Unfortunately, without the drivers the graphics card can fail because the instruction on how to use it are not on the system!

You will need to install the latest AMD Drivers (Just the display driver) for us to continue the debugs. If you download the Catalyst Package, choose the advanced setup. You should be able to choose only the display driver for installation.

Ok, I have installed the AMD display driver using the Catalyst Package. What now?

P.S.-file uploaded is how it used to look like before when it crashed

That sure looks like a toasted GPU; However, As a test, boot into the BIOS and turn off the on-board graphics. (Intel HD-4000) There may be driver a interaction/incompatibility.

Yes well the dumps you have posted include some updates issues and one that seems to crop up a bit - skype.exe and it is one that I have seen a bit of just lately.

Now the other things I thought of were have you got another GPU spare to try and have you tried a cable change either DVI or even trying HDMI? - could be something very simple.

I doubt that i can fix it by changing cables because i have another old monitor connected with HDMI but it dies at the same time.

edit: might ask a friend to borrow me a GPU to test it since i don't have a spare one
