Occasional BSOD when playing most games

Long story short, this doesn't happen ALL the time, nor does it happen with every game. However i have only ever had this happen when playing games. I want to say, the most frequently i have gotten a BSOD is, maybe once a week. Most of the time it goes 2 weeks to a month without a BSOD. However, since this last BSOD got in the way of me playing Watch_Dogs, something has to be done :P. Any who, i have tried digging into it myself in the past but I'm not very technically versed when it comes to these sort of computer issues, sort of wish i was as this seems to be a regular instance for me -_-. Now, i can assure you it happens with or without the 550 TI in there as well, that is strictly a dedicated PhysX card and even when i haven't had that card in, I still get a BSOD from time to time. Last time i was here, which was a pretty long while ago, it was due to AVG that i was getting a BSOD. I do not have AVG installed, i had switched to ASC and i did not have an issue with it after i got it. As far as any new programs, none that i can think of and this has been going on for probably the better part of 6 months so remembering all the way back then will be near impossible at this point lol.

so TL: DR,
Happens only when I'm playing games,
doesn't happen all of the time,
nor on every game,
and could crash while playing a game, then after i boot back up, as if nothing was wrong and i continue gaming for another 1 week +.

if you need anymore info please just let me know.

For starters I can see that you have this software installed.

Code:
[COLOR="Red"]Advanced SystemCare Ultimate[/COLOR]	"c:\program files (x86)\iobit\advanced systemcare ultimate 7\asctray.exe" /auto	Nate-PC\Nate	HKU\S-1-5-21-2186068897-3197056060-4268552884-1000\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I recommend you uninstall this software as it is known to cause quite a few issues.

Right, I can see that for some reason CPUZ is getting blamed, I've personally never seen that get blamed before and many of us use it without problems.

Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for cpuz136_x64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for cpuz136_x64.sys
Probably caused by : [COLOR="red"]cpuz136_x64.sys[/COLOR] ( cpuz136_x64+20ea )

I will suggest an uninstall for the time being.

I'm seeing a lot of Hardware Abstraction Layer routines which look quite a bit suspicious, in fact specifically PCI related routines.

They could be nothing but they could be an indication of something.

Do you have any other dump files?

No, that is the only dump file I have atm. There was a point in time while all this was going on that I didn't have the minidump files setup properly...

I will uninstall Cpuz when I get home and hopefully that helps. It may be upwards of 2 weeks before this happens again unless I try to re-create it which might be quite hard to pull off.

Asc is my a/v atm, if it is absolutely necessary that I uninstall it I can and out mse back on.

As far as the other part you posted, what is the change/alteration going on?? Could it be something cause by asc or by Nvidia when I switch in and out of Nvidia surround?

On my phone at work so my apologies in advance it there are lots of misspellings

ASC doesn't always cause problems but we've had a few cases where it has.

I'm not too sure about the HAL routines, I think we'll leave it for now.

Alright, now that I think about it though, CPU-z shouldn't have been running last night.. I do run hwmonitor though so I can keep track of system temps when playing games. Could it have been hwmonitor instead? Don't mean to second guess you just giving a touch more info.

The other programs I had up as well were,
Asc ram monitor
Mumble
I had the Logitech gaming software UI open to watch battery life on my G930
Corsair link software
Asus gpu tweak monitor for gpu temp etc
Steam
Uplay
Watch_dogs
Fraps
Chrome
Malwarebytes in background
And I'm sure some other things were open in the background as well

I will still uninstall Cpuz when I get home unless you say otherwise

Also, I appreciate your help with getting this resolved.

The process running was Hwmonitor but nothing indicated it was part of the issue.

That's good news :)
