Solved BSOD while recording various FPS games with OBS

I have no problems recording other games, but recently when I have been trying to record the NEW Shadow Warrior game, or Wolfenstein Old Blood, the game/computer completely freezes and does a blue screen if I let it sit long enough. Not all of the minidumps included in the zip are from this problem, but the June 4th one defintely is, and the others MAY be related. It has also very rarely frozen and blue screened doing other things, mostly watching youtube with chrome. Thanks guys!!

First please download and run a full system scan on Malwarebytes (including CD/DVD drives): https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Post a screenshot of any malware it finds, and subsequently, please remove the malware.

I've analysed your minidumps and the cause of the problem seems to be: hal.dll

Follow These Instructions:

1. Boot from Windows 7 installation disc/repair disc
2. Go to 'Repair Computer'
3. Open the command prompt
4. Type in: bootsect /nt60 sys
5. Hit Enter
6. Restart your computer after it has finished

If you don't have the disc anymore, see below.

Be very careful doing this, remember to COPY the files across DONT MOVE THEM otherwise you'll have a whole heap of problems!

Thanks for the welcome. I did the bootsect thing, so we shall see if that helps. I am also wondering if my processor is overheating, because the temperatures it seems to be reaching are VERY close to the danger level. I do however have a new, FAR better CPU fan being shipped to me as we speak, so in a few days I should be able to solve that potential problem. I will post an update, probably on Tuesday after I am able to install the fan and check everything to see if it BSOD's or over heats. Also, the malware thing you linked to didn't find anything interesting.

That's great to hear!

Your CPU may be heating, it very well could've been the cause of the other Blue-Screens. As for the Chrome BSOD issue, that can be fixed by reinstalling Chrome - your chrome installation has corrupted.

It does appear that my CPU was overheating. I have installed a new, upgraded CPU heatsink and fan, and have seen no further issues. The part that still seems weird to me, is I had no issues for a good 8 months with overheating, and then all of a sudden, BAM! Continuous problem. Oh well. It would seem we can mark this as solved..... I hope.... Thanks everyone for the assistance!!
