BSOD while recording with fraps + audacity, kernel data inpage error

Yeah so I've been able to fix my dual system on both hard drives problem, but seems like my original problem still persists.

Whenever I run fraps, audacity, and warcraft III (warcraft III running by itself doesn't seem to bother anything). I blue screen after 1-2 minutes of recording (sometimes it doesn't, but when it does it does for 3-4 times every time i try).

The error message I get from BSOD is kernel data inpage error, but sometimes the BSOD would just say "a process or thread crucial to the system has unexpectedly exited or been terminated". The error code is always 0x000000004.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Ok so I had to change my minidump from kernel w/e to your small memory dump 256kb configuration. Do I need to re-play the blue screen to give u the minidump file? The current one I have is in attachments.

Also I'm not overclocking.

* Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

Then you can use this Freeware:

MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM (MagicDisc) in its place

* I note you appear to have some Kaspersky remnants remaining after an uninstall.

* Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress

Some generic advice.

If you are overclocking STOP. return to the default settings at least for now.
If you are running a RAID update its driver.

ok, I have news for you. Sorry for the long delay, it IS the holidays ^_^.

I did disable the sptd thing, but now this time when I tried running fraps w3 and audacity, it seems that my computer froze, but it didn't blue screen. I pressed ctrl+alt+delete, and it opens my task manager, and i was still able to operate. The "buffer light" (you know, the other light that flashes when your computer is working on something) it's solid during all this time. Usually when it's "about" to blue screen it becomes solid too.

So the computer can keep running, the only difference is none of the 3 programs work anymore, they're all installed on my d drive (even the recording products are configured to store there too. My computer, device manager, and disk management. None of them shows any signs of detecting my d drive. Restarting the computer seems to solve the problem of not detecting my d drive though.

One last thing, you said you detected kaspersky, that's because that's my antivirus, I can't uninstall that.

I Knew that Kaspersky is your Malware, I was suggesting that you might want to remove it and replace it with MSE to test to see if it is causing the problem.
