I'm not sure what is on the win 7 disc repair or upgrade? I had a Microsoft tech work on my system remotely to fix a updates problem. I was unable to download any updates, he was able to fix that and many updates were installed.
After he was done and I rebooted I started to notice that if I wasn't working on my computer my monitors would go to sleep ever hour on the hour ( I believe that I have a tread about my monitors ) but like I said if I don't touch my computer or stop working on it at 3:50 PM at 4:50 PM,5:50PM,6:50PM and so on.
I think the tech changed something or maybe the updates caused the monitor issue. I know there is a way to repair Win7 and from what I read it says none of my programs ,documents, desktop shortcut etc.
Can someone explain exactly what happens when and if I put the Win7 disc in and boor from it and chose repair.
I just want to make sure I am not worse off than I am now if I do this repair.
Any input is much appreciated.
