The common thread seems to be a BIOS setting. Ensure that the controller is set for IDE not AHCI

Ok, sorry I took so long.
I checked the bios. The storage config was already set to IDE.
Crap, I need to lay off the juice!

Made BIOS Changes

Antman, performed the following bios changes:

• I changed Storage configuration to IDE, rebooted with OS-7 disc result was install failure
• Changed storage configuration to AHCI, rebooted with OS-7 disc result was install failure followed by attempted Windows repair
• Changed bios back to original settings and reboot and I am back to RC-7, everything is stable.

All Storage devices are SATA connected, Internal optical drive is a LITE-ON BDROM both Seagate Hard drives are SATA connected.

Everyone, a big thanks to each and everyone!-I really look like this guy here!
I have made the 10 buck sacrifice and purchased my USB Key. I have extracted the ISO from Antman (My Hero) My BIOS settings are set and I'm going to attempt to do the installation as soon as I sign off.

Failure

After extracting the ISO file to the Pendrive, I performed a re-boot and hit F-8 Key and selected the boot option to the Pendrive, i have now a black screen and the prompt "No operating System found on the Pendrive, remove Pendrive snd reboot."
I looked at the Pendrive and I see all the files and folders that were extracted! They match up to the dvd I burned yesterday.
I'm trying 1 more time with winrar as zig/tews suggested using the flash drive. And I'll give it another try!

Failure II

After wiping the flash drive I extracted the windows 7 iso using winrar and attempted another install and I got the same screen in black, "no operating system on pendrive".
Guys and gals, what am I missing here?

I tried another write to the key drive and this time it was successful, I'm attaching the log so everyone can view, I attempted the install and it looked good. How ever it failed again at the CD/DVD driver and stopped.
My last attemp will be to include my drivers from my system currently on my hard drive. If this does not work I will pack it in.

Received and downloaded.
Reformat the drive and make bootable.
Now I'll write the iso to the key drive.

Antman, followed the link you sent me.
I ran "Bootable USB."
Using this program I performed the following:

1. Formatted the key drive (see Img.)
2. After format completed, I attempted to run ISO.
3. Got the prompt "ISO opened not correct".
4. No Iso, I went to the open DVD option. The DVD option wrote the complete DVD to the key drive.
5. Removed the dvd from the dvd drive.
6. Reboot, Install started right away using the key drive.
7. Installation progressed at the same slow pace and bombed out again looking for drivers.

Thats it. No other options?

For some reason the forum was blocked down south and I was just able to logon.
Anyway, I was able to "Upgrade" from RC-7 to the "7600" build, but as I stated in my email my RC-7 key is invalid.

Issue resolved

Thanks to Antman, Tews, ZigZag I have a stable OS.
All my peripherals installed with success, now its a matter of installing software back in and restoring backed up files.
This was definately a learning experience!

Is it safe to delete OLD WINDOWS
I don't need anything from them, they are not essential?
