I also purchased a floppy ribbon and some SATA cables. I just need to get a Windows 7 DVD/Key and SSD (around 250 GB) and I should be set! I think I'm doing alright so far, but someone call me out if they think I'm doing something stupid! Don't be afraid to "shoot me down"...![]()
Dude i could of mailed you a 600w HP High E PSU lol Coolmax good luck on that
Thanks for offering! The cheap price made me nervous, but I guess it will be worth it if it lasts at least one year. It's got a one year warranty, so they'd have to replace it! I am using the built in video, so I really don't need anything powerful. Hopefully it will hold up a little while. The power supply arrived today, it only took it 2 days from the order date to deliver! The only thing that sucks is that it only has 2 SATA power cables. Is there an adapter to make an older style ATA 4-pin connector work on an SATA drive? 2 is enough, but not if I want to add another drive later on.
All that's left is to buy an SSD. I'm looking at the 250 GB Samsung posted earlier, and I should be set! Never had a solid state drive. I can't wait for the speed increase!
