Now days many use Sleep and Hibernate and don't get all the good effect a Clean Boot or Reboot does.

5 minutes or so, depending on the model of CPU. Remember, the OS probably had .01% of the number of lines of code that current OSs have and maybe 4 to 16 MB of memory to load it into.

It's weird, it seems that they fixed some startup crashes in this release... funny thing I never had an issue with that.

Well, in case this helps anyone, for people that likes to play with the Dev/Beta release, Mozilla is activating "experiments" for some people in the 45b branch. This means that, they will selectively change settings on choosen users to enable Electrolisys in it's current state (multithreading) and Asycronous Panning and Zoom (supports mouse and touch screens currently). This, in most cases, and with capable GPUs, will increase browsing/page scrolling performance, but can break some extentions. Mozilla will determine if your extentions are incompatible with Electrolisys and enable (or not) this last accordingly.

If you are interested in looking for a particular extention(s) and it's compatibility with Electrolysis / e10s, you can visit https://www.arewee10syet.com/ to check.

It's supposed that, for realease channel, FF46 will enable Electrolisys too, not confirmed though (can be enabled on FF47 instead).

Currenty, Electrolysis seems to support "partial multithreading", this means that you will get a "firefox.exe" process, along with a "plugin-container.exe" one, but, in case another plugin needs to be executed (like flash), another and last instance of this process will appear. By now they share memory, and it doesn't quite work like Chrome's.

Is anyone one unhappy with the fact that we can't block individual cookies anymore. In privacy it only takes HTTP or HTTPS now. I have always been able to block individual cookies like, bing.com, google.com, alawar.com and can't do that anymore.

I'm not sure what you mean. Try restoring the old preferences dialog box and see if that helps. Screenshot id from Cyberfox but it should be the same in Firefox.

In FF Address Bar type about:config then press Enter. Accept the warning.

In the search box type brrowser.preferences.incontent

EDIT: Should be browser.preferences.incontent

Press Enter. Set value to false. Exit Firefox and restart.

Set Tools > Options > Privacy as shown.

browser.preferences.incontent is not listed.

The boxes you posted are what I use. You can see my photo that there are only HTTPs. It will not take google.com or any other with just .com like it used to. IE does still accept it.

I see your point. I just installed the latest Firefox and it does not have that preference. Additionally when I set it to block cookies from google as a test - it did not actually block them.

You might want to try these addons:

Tested Cookie Monster and it works. Can block cookies set by http and https domains.

I've also been using self destucting cookies for more than one year. You can whitelist cookies on a per site basis if needed.

The way I understand that statement is the cookie monster blocks the same way it's done now. It has to be the http and https. I tried a couple of adons, but really didn't understand them. I use ghostery and when reading about the update it said it blocks cookies of http and https, but when it popped up it did show it without them.

I think cookies helps someone out there make money and FF is cooperating with them and making money.

I stuck with FF V 28 for a long time, but my adons that block cookies don't work anymore.

Yes, I know is not enabled by default, but enabling it and testing worths the time.
