Recommend a new Laptop please

Thread getting old but still a common question I guess. Have a look here
The Best Notebook Displays As Reviewed By Notebookcheck - NotebookCheck.net Reviews
The MSI at the top of the list looks pretty good. But If you are into photography and Photoshop then I suggest an IPS screen.

Thanks, that is interesting I never heard of or seen a Schenker before ?

I did actually go to the next city last week and checked out the Asus and MSI the Asus keyboards as I expected are still crap, the MSI are much better and found one within my budget just need to save a bit again since other things have cropped up in the meantime *sigh* thanks for your input mate it is appreciated and interesting.

Hell yeah they have a 16GB Ram version with the right other specs for a grand, I want it :-) the keyboard aint perfect but it is as near damn it the spec is something like 250SSD, 1TB HDD, 16GB Ram the CPU is an i7 not sure how many cores, screen is 15.6 or there about, SD card reader latest WIFI thing etc etc... it's nice very nice ... and a better spec to the same model I found online....

Just need to save up for a few months... or rob a bank, or sell a kidney... nah my kidney would be useless to many years of alcohol abuse :-)

Thanks for your input guys much appreciated

Thanks guys that's good to know about the i7's I am out of date on the current hardware available since I left the UK.

The ASUS models are cheaper and have a damn good speck but the keyboards are still crap on them they flex to much... yeah I could plug in a USB keyboard but that is not suitable for my situation...

I did notice that the cheap HP laptops with a very basic speck had the best keyboards ! I found that ironic...
You can picture the scene here is me in all these computer stores bashing on keyboards and mumbling to myself and the little Asian store staff are wondering to themselves "what the hell is this guy doing" then I noticed a couple of the guys trying the keyboards themselves and kind of nodding in agreement whilst looking in my direction haha

The last rig I actually built what 6 years ago ? had a ROG mainboard / motherboard it was a nice system with duel G cards etc, that thing cost about £2000 to build back then...

Anyway I think MSI is the way forward... :)

Hell yeah mate for sure... this Sony is a 17ins job, keyboard is perfect, but the 17ins display there is not many movies you can play full screen even games as the aspect ratio is all wrong, same with websites they are difficult to design on this... yes I know there are ways and means and I do use ways and means to get around it...

Thanks for your input ThrashZone it is appreciated :)
