If it only spikes on startup say so
Otherwise just keep referring to resource monitor to see what is causing it
I've been using RealTemp to monitor temperature
If they go up you know something is going on
RealTemp just shows a temperature # on the taskbar so it's easy to see at a glance

Okay I unzipped it and now it is in a fold how do I use it?

okay well like I downloaded it and well I can find it to start it in the folder but then when I shut it down it tells me I am missing files. How in the world does thing work. I just wanted a short cut on my computer to go to check the cpu.

Just extract all in the downloads folder
Right click the RealTemp.exe and select Send to Desktop create shortcut.

Okay well I have another thing for you as well. In the update programs it has updates if you want them or not. Well it has skype on there but when I open add and remove features it is not in there. The same with microsoft essentials yet there is an update for both. What is that all about?

Okay when I unzipped the file it does not eve me any Realtemp.exe just regular files.

Hi,
Skype is a windows update as far as I know I have never actually installed

You might have to delete what ever extracted files and try again
Right click the zip folder and select Extract all and point it to extract to the downloads folder should be the same place you downloaded it too
Then just open the folder
Everything should look like the image I posted.

Well now I am having issues first it was stuck at start up configuring updates. I had to go in safe mode and finally it worked. I am not sure why it would do that because I set it to let me configure updates. Now it keeps freezing when I do anything. what the heck is going on with this computer it was working great last night!?

Have you ever run disk cleanup and clean up system files and removed old windows updates ?

Okay I am experiencing some weird stuff. I shut down the computer to restart it and well it said windows was preparing and when windows came on everything was wiped off from the desktop except for a few things. However firefox was still on there only it opened up as if it was just installed. Google was completely gone!! However there things i downloaded that are still there. All I did was change the admin and password and well this happened. Very strange.Documents done too. Is that because I changed admin and all?
