BSOD error 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF88011162AB1...)

No noticeable change so far after downloading the chipset, but it did update them so I don't know how outdated they were. Just tried loading up Fallout 4 and the results were pretty much the same as before.

So I read somewhere that you have integrated graphics and maybe this might cause problems.

At this point, I really don't know what the cause of the problem is, I'm quite certain we have gone through all things, I'm not sure if you should stress test the CPU to see if that's the problem here.

I don't think I have integrated graphics anymore? Didn't I replace that when I put in the new graphics card I have?

I also could try switching out the current CPU with my older one that came with the PC to see if that helps.

Please do because from my point of view we've gone through most things that could have caused this problem/issue/error.

You can also perform a full malware and full antivirus scan but I doubt it has anything to do with this.

And about the integrated graphics, well yes it's not in use when you have another GPU but it is still there lurking.

But it might explain why you had such a hard time with games if the integrated graphics were enabled and not your other card.

Other than that you could use Prime95 and follow this guide, if the computer shuts down then we know the culprit:

Prime95

If nothing happens and it has been running for 3+ hours then I think you can shut it off.

Cheers, Boris :)

Hey Borris,

Sorry I haven't replied in over a week, school started up and I have had to use my computer for a lot of work.

Would you recommend switching out the CPU's first or should I try to run Prime95 to test the current CPU first?

Hey.

Yes use Prime95 on the current CPU. If you have adequate cooling there won't be any problem running and if it crashes then hopefully it will be the end of the road for this pain.

Cheers, Boris :)

I ran Prime 95 for 3+ hours and there were no crashes or anything unusual. The temperatures weren't high, everything was in the 30-40 C range.

Just my two cents worth and sorry if I have missed something but I didn't see the driver link for that card so I would try this Download Drivers the self detect one.

In addition to Axe's suggestion I would personally be very tempted to run this too as it doesn't involve Windows as such Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10
Now the scan can take some time depending on the speed of the system but I have found it really good at winkling out stuff that the other s don't find. There is another rescue disk by Bitdefender that too works in the same way but I prefer this one.

Hey axe0,

Alright it took a long time to run all the scans but I finally got the scan logs for most of them, but I don't know where the Microsoft Security Essentials one is located so I included a picture of the two files it found and removed.

I couldn't get the ESET Online Scanner to fully scan, it always crashed at some point, the last scan got the farthest and identified 2 infected files, but crashed too and I don't know exactly which files it found. I looked up the problem and some other people have been having the same issue with ESET since its last update.

Hey ICIT2LOL,

I ran the self detector for the amd drivers and it said all the drivers were up to date. And I haven't run the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 because I don't have any extra usb's/cd's right now, but if I have to I will try it.

Thank you both for helping on this issue. :)

It doesn't look bad, only an extension/toolbar and a pup, but you may want to reset Firefox to ensure the extension/toolbar doesn't change too much.

I used the "refresh" button for Firefox, is that what you mean by reset? Or should I uninstall and reinstall it completely? Looks like the same plugins and extensions are still installed in Firefox.

Hello, once again!

I would recommend, since Axe's method didn't work for you, that you follow the instructions below for uninstalling these plugins and extensions:

Disable or remove Add-ons | Firefox Help

Unless you feel that you don't actually need the browser, then you can of course just uninstall it!

Cheers, Boris :)

Yes, that is what I meant :)

The files from the extension would've already been removed, because all Firefox extensions (including their data) are removed when refreshing Firefox (and because you scanned your system with a few tools), but it was meant to reset any settings that were changed by this extension ;)

Okay thanks for explaining that, I kept firefox installed for now since I use it for some things. Now some of the scans did find and remove some threats and files, but I am still running into the same problem my pc has been having since the BSOD. Did the scan logs help point towards anything that might be causing the issue?

Is there anything else I could try? I am planning to replace the CPU when I have time to if nothing else works, and I can still try to use the Kaspersky rescue disk 10 that ICIT2LOL recommended once I get an extra Usb or Cd.

I doubt it, I'm no advanced debugger but malware extensions usually don't cause that kind of problems. They usually cause problems like default browser changes and browser setting changes. Although this causes other more harmful malware to get in, more harmful malware hasn't been detected.
