Will my games still work with upgrade?

Hi, when I upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (not clean install), will my installed games still work? I just don't really want to go through the hassle of reinstalling 30gb worth of content :P.

This is a seperate issue from game compatibility (I have read the list), I just want to know if games will work after an upgrade.

Basically, do games make changes to the registry, or are they simply composed of the files in the installation folder?

Thanks! :)

Hi pandora

1-If your games work in vista they will in win 7. they may have to be run in compatibility mode

2- 99.99% of the time they will work

3-games (like any application) make changes in registry and have files in the "installation folder"

the only way to tell for sure is to try it

Sorry, maybe my question wasn't clear enough (looking at it, it's a bit of a mess - sorry :p)

Here's my sernario - I have windows Vista, and on it, I have several games installed. All I want to know is - assuming they are compatible - will the games work when I upgrade to windows 7?

I guess if the upgrade is there to preserve applications, games will be no different, allways good to check though :).

Thanks again.

Assuming they are compatible of course they will. vista and win 7 arent that different. Upgrade does preserve everything the good and the bad.
