re: looking for files from a Pkzip self extracting exe file

This is for OS Win7 Home 32bit. I had to re-download the driver for my HP laserjet P1006 The d/l was in the form of a PKZIP self extracting EXE file. I would like to know what directory the files were extracted to before installing. I want to burn the extracted files to a cd. But I can't find the files.

If it's the one from HP then I've got it, I cant see where it's extracting them too, it's not %temp% as I would of expected.

However if you are just wanting access to the files then I've just right clicked on the installer with winrar and extracted them to a folder.

The driver that was self extracting.

The right click on the self extracting .exe file > then extract to a folder did the trick. Now when payday comes on April 3rd I can get some more blank disks and cases. And burn the printer drivers cd. Thanks.
