microsd write failing after 50% of file being written

this just started happening on my chewihi10 tablet (it is windows 10..)
when i try to write a big file, (something over 200mb or so) it fails.. and i must right click drive, and choose tools, and then check error checking and it finds issues, and fixes them, then i am able to access the drive again...
i have tried all i can think of
device manager, deleting all sd drivers, and usb drivers.. rebooting..
i have tried multiple sd cards, all have the same issue (so it is not the actual card)

tried restoring back as far as i could, issue still is there...

tried a file copier replacement that i can throttle down the speed of the transfer, i tried 18mb a sec, i tried 1mb a sec.. failed all the same...

this is a samsung 64gb microsd card... agian, i have tried others as well, 32gb, another 64gb, all different brands...

what else could be the issue? this seemed to have happened out of nowhere...

i can copy small files to it just fine, and i can view all files from it (drag off the micro, or watch, if it is a mp4 etc..)
the issue is just if it is a larger file, and i am writing it to the mircrosd...
out of ideas...

There are many defective USB drives on the market.
Take out the SD drive and put on on another computer.
Use this tester H2testw Download

Format the drive and run the test. It will fill it with multi files and read them.

Here's what you could try if you were running Windows 7. (If this doesn't work, then post your question on Ten Forums.)

Go into Device Manager. In the right panel, right click on the top item in the tree and choose "Show legacy devices" or "Show hidden devices" (or however it is worded).

Look at the USB devices which are listed. If any of them have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point next to them, right click on them then remove/uninstall them.

Now go back to the top item in the tree and choose "Scan for hardware changes".

Exit Device Manager and try again to write to your flash drive.

If this fixed it, it is likely that the drive was removed/unplugged without first unmounting it. To avoid this problem in the future, be sure to unmount a drive before unplugging it. To unmount a flash drive or other USB device, click on the Remove Hardware icon in the system tray (looks like a USB plug), then click on the drive you want to unmount in the list. When it tells you it is safe to remove the drive, you can remove it.

thanks for the response.. but remember, i stated how i tried many different microSD cards... (i never removed the one in there, it was used as another hdd with my movies and music on it, never removed it from the tablet ever)

i did try device manager already, but not showing hidden devices, i will try that when i get home later today.

I once bought a 64 G pendrive that showed on Explorer as 64G but was in fact a 4 G drive.
If you bought the SD on the street or on ebay, 99% chance it has a problem.
If you don't test it, you will never know.

ok... i used my usb adapter/reader with micro usb slot and plugged it in the same tablet but using not hte microsd slot, but rather the usb-a adapter, and i was able to write to the same card no issue...
so, there goes what i was saying all along, it is not the micro sd card.

Then you either have a faulty driver, or a faulty micro SD port. Hopefully, it's the former.

ok.. how can i test? i have deleted all from device manager (all sd, usb etc), and rebooted.. problem still there.. bad port?

SD memory cards has four families. The four families are the original Standard-Capacity (SDSC), the High-Capacity (SDHC), the eXtended-Capacity (SDXC), and the SDIO.
Some card readers can only read Standard-Capacity (SDSC) or the High-Capacity (SDHC), but can't read he eXtended-Capacity (SDXC), and the SDIO.
It seems the case as you said that when you put it to a USB card reader you can use the entire capacity.
