corsair strafe RGB

This keyboard DID work but is causign problems.
If I boot this pc and plug in the KB it will work, light up, and function.
If I reboot it will hang on the BIOS. 'Hit f2 to whatever'.
Regular ol' keyboard works fine.
Does the board see the corsair as some sort of device that it's trying to boot too?
I would go into the BIOS to check but can't get in it w/o using another KB and in that case I won't see that the BIOS is detecting the kb.
Hmm....maybe it's set to boot to USB 1st???
OK..off I go to check

Best thing to do is to call Corsair and explain your problem.

I think your keyboard is only recognized as a keyboard after a driver is installed after boot.
During POST the computer hardware is checked.
On BIOS you probably have an option to halt on no keyboard. Try to disable it.

Yes this seems to be the problem. I don't see anyway to halt on no KB though.
BUT...the PC is now booting with the KB plugged in. Minor problem is that you can't get into the BIOS with this KB because it is not recognized until BIOS is completed.
Apparently there is a way to change the KB to pre or post-BIOS but I haven't looked into it.
It's a KB...I want to plug it in and have it work. P I T A.
It is very cool looking though...

 Jimp, you're not living up to your name...I have too many KBs already. I don't want to work around problems. This is not a life threatening problem...but I want to get rid of it.

Yeah, I just reread your original post and saw that you already have another keyboard.

Not sure how to fix the problem with the Corsair keyboard, but at least you have a way of doing everything -- old keyboard for BIOS setup, Corsair keyboard for Windows. But as you say, that is only a workaround, not a solution.
