Hello

While using the PC, often the screen will go completely black, as if it shut off but I can still hear the PC running through the speakers.

The only way to get it to come back on is after a hard restart.

The hardware listed on my profile is not the same as the problematic PC. If any hardware details are needed on it, let me know.

Thanks

Check the "sleep" setting for your monitor. Set it to (Never) and see what happens.

Make sure that you check the power settings in Windows. Make sure that you have removed sleep and hibernate from every option, including when you shut the lid or hit the power button. You don't want anything being able to put the computer into sleep or hibernate mode.

After doing the above, you will be able to manually choose sleep or hibernate; but that's the only time you ever want either sleep or hibernate to happen.

So no auto sleep or hibernate?

Alright, I will try that.
