How Do I Rename A Font?

When in Word or Photoshop or any app where I can apply text and assign a specific font I find many font names that I would like to rename. How to do?

Thx Nic - First, if at all possible I always expect a solution that does not require adding more s/w. Otherwise, please share your hands-on experience with this tool. Are you willing to address a few specific questions I have?

To the best of my knowledge, if you access the fonts folder and rename a font that way, with a few exceptions, it will break the font and you will no longer have access to it. I believe there are only 2 or 3 that you can actually rename with the traditional right-click, click rename scenario.

Can't say I have any experience using that tool. Maybe a little googling might locate a video or two on the subject-matter. You can also check to see if they have a forum, many, probably most, do. If they do, you'll most likely receive a response from an avid user.

In the meantime, I'll download it and play around a bit after I run a system image. I've trashed a few functions, and crashed a few 'puters in my day, years ago that is!
