Solved File Explorer can't read discs in DVD drives

Something weird happened with the 2 DVD drives installed. The discs load but when I try to view the contents or open discs with Explorer I get the pop-up "Please insert disc..". But for some reason programs like ImgBurn and iTunes can access what's on the discs. Both drives appear in the BIOS and Device Manager without any flags. I have a dual boot system and in Windows 10 both drives work perfectly. it looks like something broke in the Windows 7 registry. This all started after I installed a new graphics card. I tried assigning new drive letters and uninstall/installing the drives with no luck. Anybody have a fix?

What is on the discs?

If you go to Control Panel, Auto Play, what is the action set for the type of disc that's in the drive?

After racking my brains for days I finally figured it out. The culprit is the program RGB Fusion that controls the LED's of the new graphics card. For some reason the program locks all the optical drives. I used the program Unlocker to release all the handles on the drives and they are back to normal. I have RGB Fusion installed on Windows 10 but it didn't affect the drives at all. As Windows 7 becomes obsolete these programs are really for Windows 10 even if they say they will run on Windows 7
