That doesn't sound right!

Please run WU_Hotfixes.bat from here => My Useful Batch Scripts and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums] and someone will look at it for you.

Very strange!

My .bat file should have produced a list of all the WU's that you have installed!

Did you run anything prior to posting your problem?

No. But it is clear now that there is something wrong with my windows update. So are those updates actually installed a not?

If all else fails then we can perform a Repair Install. Before that though, we will try and resolve this without going down that route!

Repair Install - Overview

A repair install differs from a clean install in the fact that it ONLY replaces the corrupted OS with a new fresh copy. This means that ALL your User Accounts, Folders, Files, Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos, Data Files, Icons, and any installed programs are left intact. It does however, delete ALL the Window updates, and could possibly affect, sounds, services, visual effect settings and device drivers by re-setting them to default [unusual though]. You cannot do a repair install at boot, in Safe Mode, using a system repair disk, or using an integrated Windows update disk. Basically, this process can ONLY be performed from within the LIVE OS.

I do not want that at all. I got a lot of files and it will take a lot of time to get it all back. If I need to restart from factory settings, I will must well go to Win10 as Win7 is ending soon.

You didn't read the Repair Install - Overview correctly!

Correct!

You will however, need to install all the WU's again if it gets to this. There is a quick and easy way to do this which we can go through if you need to, but we will try and resolve this first another way. Snick appears to have all the files that you need. As I said previously, I nead to re-read the thread later on!

Have you got a recovery partition?

Post a screenshot of the Disk Management => Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image. Pay special attention to Step 5.

OK, I just wanted to see if you had a recovery partition which you don't!

[1] What have you got on the Seagate Plus Backup drive?
[2] Do have system images on the Seagate Plus Backup drive?

Just files that are very big so that I can save disk space.
