Trying to make W7 repair disk failed for me

From a running Windows7 I ran "Create a system repair disk". It did create a nice CD.
I unzipped a large .wim file. All contents are for Windows 10 and not for windows 7. Booting options are in grub2.
Why wrong system contents?
Any suggestions for a fix?

I dual/triple boot Win7 and 10 and Linux Mint on a 64-bit laptop.

As you have Linux it has used grub boot loader.
Why don't you manually build the recovery disk?
Don't you have a Win 7 installation disk?

That occured to me as well. But I don't have the skills to investigate other than list what BCD says.
I wonder if it's possible for a Windows feature upgrades to mess with a windows 7 stuff. Because that's my suspicion as I have not been able to, for example, boot into Win7 safe mode ever since wither windows10 1803 or 1809 issue. I'm now on their 1903.
Is there a list someplace of what the hex numbers in the BCD thingie mean?

EDIT: Ignore my writing about no safe mode etc. It works just fine in Windows 7. Turns out I was pressing F8 at the wrong time

Yes, Linux uses Grub2 and all three systems boot just fine.
Well, I'm trying to build recovery, but as you see in my first post, I can't.
I do not have the installation disk. It's a OEM (Lenovo) job. I do have a pure Windows 7 installing disk I got ages ago via DigitalRiver. Never used it. Afraid it might mess up my complex booting system.

Edit: I did have a boot failure once. I recover using either old Acronis or Aomei with no problems for the correct partitions.

make sure that digital is W7 Service Pack 1, otherwise the repair will not even start

I believe it is sp1. I made 2 copies of X17-59186.iso in 2013 soon after got the laptop, just on one copy I wrote SP1.
