Thank you for replying.

My hardware is old,so I think that Win 7 performs better than Win 10 for me.

You need a reasonable network solution, which means a robust and reliable firewall, and this is often solved by using a router that isn't set to lax defaults.

Internet-facing element - keep your browser up to date. Some have built in protection against unwanted scripts - others have add-ons that do the same kind of thing. You could check out Brave, and the various other firefox and chrome derivatives.

You could also switch to a different email client - e.g. thunderbird, and maybe a 3rd party media player - vlc or whatever you fancy.

Make backups of the os and data regularly - plenty of programs to do that.

Run Simplix pack.

Just run it. Very easy.

Download Simplix UpdatePack 7 - MajorGeeks

You might be doing all of the above already. Many of us have been doing all that for years.

Is Kaspersky Total Security a good protection solution?

AV are an extra line of defense in case you stupidly let something through. The other stuff is more important. I expect Kaspersky is fine. MS will keep releasing definition updates for their oiwn MSE until 2023, so 3rd party soultions will keep supporting win7 for at least that long, I expect. For example, there are even one or two that still support Vista. Avast did last time I looked a couple of weeks back.

If something major comes up, MS will will release an update anyway - as they did for meltdown/spectre.

Could you tell me all of the Win 7 programs that I should substitute with 3d party programs please?

Browser with security add-ons, plus email client and media player. Anything that connects to the internet should be kept up to date.

The most important question to define is, secure against what?
What worries you?

I got some informations that Win 7 is not as secure as Win 10.

I sincerely don't fully understand what does that mean.

Listen inspiron...W7 is no longer SUPPORTED by Microsoft...There are no security updates for it any longer except for MS essentials. Any W7 vulnerabilities that show up are no longer being fixed by MS..

You are asking for trouble if you keep using it..

Give it up, move on the W10

Try GOOGLING it...Google is your friend...

Do you have any intention of answering the OP's question, or are you intent on telling him that you want him to do something entirely different.

In England, the polite word is wazzock.
