However if you specs are correct, you will need at least 4gb memory, otherwise your system will not be able to cope.
you will also need a W7 Ultimate product key... DONT buy it of Ebay buyer beware

If you using it in a running os, you can place service pack next to simplix pack and then run simplix and it will do the whole job. Takes a while.

Better to get installation media that already includes SP1

The Dell isos contain all images. Unfortunately they are huge because they also include numerous optional language packages.

In what sense? What are you able to d/l? I wouldn't recommend the 2018 isos.

The Microsoft webpage link you provided is not for the Service Pack 1 upgrade for Windows 7.

It's for the System Update Readiness Tool - which requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 already be installed.

You can download the SP1 upgrade from the Microsoft Update Catalog link that's provided in post #10.
I did a test download, and it works fine.

You can use either the one that says 7 x64 or 2008 R2 x64. It's essentially the same OS so either download will work.

Really? I was able to start the download but I did not have it finish. Did you select the exe or the msu? I tried the exe. Did you get an error message? What browser are you using and did you try another one? Considering IE's age I would not use it with M$'s website. They might have it partially blocked. It is working for me on Firefox.

torchwood The op didn't say anything about a bsod. He didn't specify if the service pack won't download or if it won't install. We need to know more about what is going on.

I was looking for Service pack 1 and came across your post, I followed the successive pages and came to a halt yet again.
Makes me wonder if Microsoft want everybody to move to Win 10 why then do they put so many obstacles in the way forward :banghead:
If you have an updated version I would be really grateful
This update is for a Samsung RV511 32 bit

Try this KB976932 download link for the 64-bit version of Service Pack 1.
It is 903 MB in size and it downloaded fine for me.
