Hi,
I wouldn't know about saying evga has good customer service
They just sell good gpu's and psu's
Customer service well I had fun with them on a refund on a titan
They tried every trick in the book to get me to accept the delivery and open the product to get the vin # off of it to rma it lol

Long story short I had them agree to unlock the delivery to my address so I could pick it up from ups = suckers
I did not pick it up and it was sent back to evga after 5-7 days undelivered
My credit card company took care of the rest because evga sat on my refund for like 30 days so they are pretty bad customer sevice wise.

I have never had to use EVGA 'RAM' so I don't real know how good it is or is not.

I had to 'RMA' a Corsair power supply and it was a pain but I got things taken care of in about a month.
I 'RMA' a Intel ssd and had a new one in a week.

I had to RMA some Mushkin RAM a couple of years back.

They actually cross shipped the new sticks to me. I had new RAM in two days, and it took over a week for my RAM to get to them. Now that's customer service!

I had a similar experience when a WD Green started throwing reallocation errors shortly before the warranty ran out. Although I had to provide a credit card number, on which they put a temporary hold for the cost of the replacement drive, they immediately cross shipped the new drive, then removed the temporary hold as soon as they received the old drive. I had the replacement in two days.

I can only speak from personal experience to say that EVGA gives good customer service but I've also read a number of positive reviews as well. I've never had bad customer service from EVGA. I used to only buy EVGA power supplies and I have no shortage of these. I've not had one fail on me yet but I'm wondering about my CORSAIR HX1000i. It doesn't seem to run well with my CORSAIR Mini Commander and I fear the quality of Corsair products is increasingly dropping. That said I've naught had a problem with my CORSAIR DOMINATOR RAM. I'm wondering if Corsair shouldn't just stick to RAM. ASUS, on the other hand... Is a completely different story. If I ever build any more PCs I'll probably get the motherboards from MSI. Then again, I've not had a problem with EVGA. No, not one.

I agree. I have used EVGA extensively for years to buy Graphics cards and power supplies. Every single time I have had a problem they have gone out of their way to help. They even RMA'd 2 power supplies when it wasn't a power supply problem. The second one, they knew it wasn't the PSU, but did it to satisfy me.

However, just pray that you never need technical support. They hold the record on bad tech support as well. Having said that MSI and Gigabyte are no better.

For nearly two decades I would have agreed. As far as motherboards are concerned I was an ASUS fanboy all the way. I suppose it was only a matter of time before I needed a humbling lesson in that regard. I'm no fanboy for anything anymore. When my Sabertooth Z87 died I wasn't really sure if the problem was due to a fault in the motherboard or in the ASUS 7850 (yet another proof of my former AMD fanboyism). Both died at once. The EVGA 750 Watt gold certified PSU was fine. I had a great time arguing with the tech support at ASUS that the problem did not originate with my PSU. Once I had this proven they shipped me another board. Sadly, the onboard sound on that board didn't function so I remedied the problem with an old Titanium Creative Soundblaster card I had removed from a Dell PC. (In fact, my wife is still using the same EVGA PSU in a different build and has been using it for years.) Then came the matter of my ASUS X99 E USB 3.1 board... And the second one... And the third one... And the fourth one... Yes, five of them before I could finally get one that was safe and fully functional.

The first motherboard I owned was from a Radio Shack Tandy so that's kind of dating myself; but in the real world of build your own PCs I think it was an Elite motherboard sporting a lightning fast Pentium D. That one certainly proved to be garbage and I did not own it long. By that time ASUS was producing motherboards and I was so utterly impressed with my ASUS/NVIDIA graphics card I thought I'd give ASUS a go. After that I was ASUS all the way and even when I did builds a client had to deliberately request a different manufacturer or they would be getting an ASUS motherboard. Methinks my days of building PCs for people are long gone now. Times have changed. I suspect ASUS has also changed.

Ah yes motherboards.
They are impossible to troubleshoot by ones self unless their is something very obvious. I have had Asus motherboards bad right out of the box. The last on was a X79 Sabertooth. I tested everything else in the computer and then sent the board off to Asus. It took well over a month to get another one back under warranty. I could see that new parts were now on the motherboard and it worked. So in the end Asus agreed with me it was the motherboard. I think what helped the most was me and my Intel Dealer talking to Asus with emails and phone calls. When Asus figured out they were talking to a couple of people that had some knowledge of computers and the testing we did, and not just fly by night 'RMA' they work well with us.
Remember that their are many who just 'RMA' everything until the computer is fixed. A company has to be very careful of false 'RMA'. False 'RMA' is what slows the whole process. I try to understand both sides of a 'RMA' process. Seldom is the motherboard or cpu the problem but yet their are many sent back.
I still buy and use Asus motherboards. Any company that makes millions of anything, will have problems with some of them.

My Gateway DX4822-01 internals after upgrades. The unplugged HDD is the WD Green that came with it 10 years ago, still working but recently cloned to the WD Blue drive. I'll take it out and box it at some point, but as the HDD caddy is obnoxious to take out I'm not in a hurry.

500W PSU, GTX 750 Ti SC GPU and as much cooling as I could squeeze into the thing. Excluding the fans in the PSU and GPU as well as the typical heatsink fan I have the standard 92MM rear exhaust, PCI slot blower and 2 small fans rigged into the front with holes drilled for intake. I wasn't given much space there to work with but they help more than their small size would lead you to think they would.

Shutter speed is enough to look like the fans are off but the PC was on when I snapped these.
