my 3 year old windows 7 system installed an update 6/19/21
what is going on?
it does not show in the list of installed updates.
i thought updates were done for windows 7

it somehow re enabled itself today.
that damn software has never detected anything on any computer i have ever owned.

no its not linked to defender, its offered every month, as a backup

Windows 7 updates are not done until January 2023 - if your computer is set up to receive extended support updates(ESU).

this is the first update in more than a year
i was happy to see updates end
they have broken my system more then once and have annoyed me a ton by locking up my system right when i try to get on an use it.

I too have had trouble with my Win 7 updates on my laptop. Usually they break something, so 2 years ago I completely reinstalled Windows 7. Since then I have not allowed any updates to be applied and the laptop is functioning perfectly.
