How to disable automated graphics driver installation?

Hello all,

I would like to know,how to disable the automated Windows installation of the graphics driver?
But only for the graphics driver.

hi,

unfortunately its an all or nothing option, from windows update
control panel >> system>> advanced >> hardware >> device manager >> uncheck auto update

having said that wu is not offering any updates, unless your using ESU.
the 3 main graphics card makers also have update options within thier own control panels, you could also check if thier updating your card

First and foremost. If you use Nvidia, just install the driver, none of the fluff. In fact, the driver is sending telemetry behind your back right now even without Experience and what not. If you wanna know how to stop this I can tell you a few ways. One will require editing the hosts file, the other via OpenDNS and the other via Peerblock. I use all three.

As to your question. Got to the Control Panel | System & Security | System | Advanced System Settings | Hardware | Device Installation Settings. This path refers to the control panel being viewed in the category view method.

Or go to the Start orb and in the search/run box begin typing, Change device installation settings.
