HELP! I'm ripping my hair out...Windows 7 Installation/Setup & Standar

Here's what's going on now (iit's always something, isn't it?)
I got to the Windows 7 configuration screen with language...upgrade or custom install...I chose custom install and where I wanted it installed and BOOM!! it starts asking for the "Standard NVM Express Controller" driver and won't let me pass no way no how uh uh NO. So, I went and downloaded the driver(s) I needed (stornvme.sys and stornvme.sys2). Of course it's easier with .inf files but, I got to work with what is given. Ok, so now I load driver upon installation of Windows 7 and NOPE its not a signed driver yaada yaada yaada! It is not successful. I find out about the Windows 7 Hotfix (KB2990941) for Windows 7 not recognizing that I have the driver already, I don't know how to install this or when I install this. Right now, I have no OS installed, and C drive has nothing in it, I'm using X in Hiren's Boot to complete anything. The hotfix is a .msu file and I can't install it because I don't have Windows 7 installed but I can't install Windows 7 without the Standard NVM Express Controller driver and to fix this problem I need the hotfix. I am stuck and I don't know what to do now. So someone...anyone...any ideas? any solutions? any help?

And...how? NTLite, WinNTSetup?

Guess what? I just clickity clicked on the link you left...thanks, Friend, for your guidance!....

IGNORE THIS..BELOW...THIS STUFF....

And...what do you suggest?
I have all drivers that I believe I need...some as .inf files and some .dll files and some .exe files...mostly drivers from the HP manufacturer site andExte some from other builds/versions of Windows Operating Systems. I got Intel's 3.0 USB Extensible Host driver. I have drivers coming out of my ears. OK, but you are definitely helping me with a plan or next steps...so next I update my installation ISO.

It seems that you Envy TE01-1 is a 10th Intel Gen desktop.

Win7 installation files don't have some drivers needed to install Win 7 on your computer. You have to add, at least, the USB3.x, SATA and NVMe drivers to the Win7 installation files.
SIW2 built a scrip to help you add the drivers needed to install Win 7 on your computer.

What I did was slipstream the updates and NVMe drivers using NTLite. But that requires you to know how to use NTLIte!

If you get that Microsoft BS a driver isn't signed on boot up of Windows, you should be able to press F8 and chose the option to bypass driver signature checking. Now you can at least get in the damn OS to do things with updates/drivers. But if the driver is not signed by Microsoft, you'll have to do this run around on each boot. You have to install both KB2990941 & KB3087873 (hot fix) for NVMe support.

Note, if you still get a driver signature error on boot up, write down its name xxxxx.sys something. You can use the program Everything.exe, find that bugger in the system32 folder and delete it. Now Windows should boot free and clear without an error about Microscrooge's precious signed driver.

Getting Windows 7 on an NVMe drive is a pain the the ass. I know, believe me, I know... and so do my neighbors...

I am sorry, not clear enough....what I mean is....
Should I have an OS installed on my PC, to work on/work off such as Windows 11, 10, 8.1 etc (doesn't matter what version, I just said 10 to mention a version)? -instead of- Windows' PE?

yes, you need to do the updating of the installation media from within a running operating system.

If you have win7/8.1/10/11 installed you can do it from within one of those.

This is what I got so far...Hooooo Huummm....

OK here are some results....in the end I got Windows 7 installed but only to a certain point. I ended up with a welcome screen, which shows at the bottom "Starting Windows", screen is black, writing is white. The screen shows the Windows, (square window, colored red, blue, green, yellow}, logo. The logo is slowly pulsing as if it is breathing. I GO no further, no more, no OS. But, its more than what I had, I guess.

In another instance, I got the same screen but the Windows logo did not completely form it froze as the colors and window was forming.

In another instance, I got the sane screen but the Windows logo did not completely, froze, and a thick red line appeared at the top of my screen.

Where am I? A pulsating, breathing colorful Windows logo in the middle of a black sceeen with white writing at the bottom that says, "Starting Windows"

NOW....WHAT NEXT?

--Me:confused:

REWIND...flip flip flip...I am here now...

Yup, it's me again...the NUDGE!...where am I now?
Working on an OS now...working on Windows 8.1, and using 7UPv64. ISO created successfully, nothing wrong there, DL'd all items needed, have drivers coming out of the ears. My system is still asking for the "Standard NVM Express Controller" driver. I included the hotfixes and it has no effect. I can't get past that screen. I hit F8 and still nada, nothing, zip, zilch, and rabbit ears. Uhm now, I'm getting a little fed up and I'm starting to believe Windows 7 isn't for me...nothing in the world should be this hard!

Any suggestions?

What's going on now?

Ok...I was still getting the message asking for the "Standard NVM Express Controller: driver, so then I put Windows 8.1 on the system and went through all previous steps and ways to get some Windows 7 installation success...using SIW2's 7UP program, also used WinNTSetup, NTLive. Nothing worked successfully, So I read more. Read about the idea to install Win7 on a different drive, insall NVME driver, clone the finsihed Win7 installation, and put the clone back on the C drive. I thought Spifferific!!! So I set out to do this. It has gotten me further than before.
I start this installation and I get error message..."The procedure entry point ISLocalConnection...not located in the dynamic link library..." And so I push on and
I get to the last step of installation and I get this message..."Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation To install Windows, restart the installation."

Now I have no clue as to what to do, but damn it, I am going to try and find out.
What do you suggest?

--Me

- - - Updated - - -

Now that I am installing to D drive, I no longer get that driver message. I only get that messsage on the C drive because that drive is a NVM drive. If you want a pic of the message, I could get that message up again...just try to install to C drive.

Would you still like an image? Let me know and thanks for your help and input!

- - - Updated - - -

I have decided to stop this craziness :p:cry:, and upgrade from Win8.1 to Win10 and run Win7 via Virtual Machine.

Thank you to all and everyone that helped me with giving me instructions, directions, suggestions etc.! I appreciate it more than you know, and I am thankful because you didn't have to put in time to help me out....but you did, and that is everything!
