I tried to overclock with bad results.

For starters I really should have been doing this b/c I don't know what I'm doing but you have to learn somehow.

Here is what I know,

I was playing with the CIA 2 and had it on Sport with no problems. It was showing about 3.6GHz and stable with Prime95 for a few hours so...

I tried Full Thrust and it would not boot. This is where I think I messed up.

I changed the CPU Voltage control to 1.35v and left everything else the same and tried Racing. It booted for about a minute then blue screened and I shut down. Now it won't even boot long enough to let me bring up the bios. It starts then shuts down after about 2 seconds.

I think everything in my bios is set up standard.

I know this is vague but its all i got :(

If I could just get back into the bioS I could change it. Unless something terminal is going on.

Thanks for you help if you can

Don

Reset cmos. Set the jumper on motherboard for it or pull the battery out for a few seconds.

Don't overclock until you read more about it. Definitely not recommended unless confident in what you're attempting.

Lucky your cpu didn't break, split or blow up.

I don't know what I'm doing but you have to learn somehow.

How right you are !!! If you don't try it (and fail a few times) you will never learn. In fact, you will learn from each failure....but you will learn.
You now know 2 things, the most important being how to reset the bios. The other is that you need to be very careful when you play with the voltages for your MOBO, your CPU and your memory...and when you mess with the voltages (because of instability introduced from overclocking) you make VERY SMALL changes.

Read up on how to overclock, don't be afraid to try it, and have fun learning...just go slow and easy.
